It was originally planned to be a tool to use when you want to shift your character's section ID during creation.

For example, Skorpius is Purplenum, and I want Yellowboze, so I look to see how many spaces I would need to shift (4) and look for a combination of characters with values adding up to the shift amount. Two spaces, quotation mark, even *_Skorpius_* would work.

But, in the end, it turned into some waste of time, and now I present the Overglorified Section ID Calculator.

Nice use of Patterns.

That's a good question.

If there's an European version it might.

But I'm not sure.

Yes, and everything else that's availble though unicode.

Unless you are using a Russian language set to type. In which case it is not supported. PSOBB does not use true unicode. When using a Russian language set you just get garbled characters that you would get on a computer without unicode. So, the only way to use Russian characters is through the Japanese language and typing each character in manually.

The only way I was able to type in "Russkiy" was through using the Japanese input and manually selecting each character. And, even after doing so, it is not true Russian as it is in double wide font. Thus, PSOBB has some 'unicode' capability, but is still far from full. (Chinese obviously works as it has the same characters as Japanese) I might try Arabic later to see how that works out as well as Greek. I am mostly curious as to seeing how the game interperits those knowing how it interperits Russian.

Edit: I just tried Hindi, Korean, Arabic, and Greek and they all begat the same results: garbled gibberish. However, Arabic was unique in that it didn't even get those results, it got just question marks. Guess that means Chinese, Japanese or Latin based languages only...
