Edit: And I can tell I'm bored as hell. Allos' post's first letters spell out 'Tifa', which interesting enough is a character in FF7:AC, a videogame based movie!

There are the novels like The Fall of Reach and such which could be adapted to a movie.

Peter Jackson: Director of The Lord of the Rings.

So it would be in his style since they refered back to the book often... except for hollywood specific stuff like moving some stuff from book 2 to book 3.

Personally I think that they'll probably make the Halo movie something different from the books and games. Maybe a prequel, maybe a brand new story. But, the mechanics and stuff had better be the same!

The Fall of Reach was a prequal to the first Halo, not a sequal. First Strike is sorta "Halo 1.5", if you will, as it takes between Halo 1 and Halo 2.

Let's hope they don't turn the Covenant from being 'aliens' to 'misunderstood genetic experiments gone wrong'. 'Course, Doom went from demons to that so who knows. Let's hope they keep to the basics of the storyline at least.

I'm surprised bungie wouldn't make this movie themselves though... I mean, they've got the technology to do rendered in the game.
