Dark Falz's Heaven Punishment

Does anyone know if there is a way to avoid Dark Falz's Heaven Punishment attack? I've avoided it a few times, I just wanna know if I was just lucky.

I find running towards him in a zig zag direction seems to help to avoid it or so it seems.

if u take a hit from the last orb, in the attack before the heaven punisher, then u avoid it also.
