A new version of the iPod is coming up soon...

Again, the same prices, $300 and $400. But I think this may be worth the money, especially with an all new feature thats actually worthwhile...

Huh. Apple is CLEANING UP by producing superior versions of the iPod everyone already has. :3

I have a perfectly fine 20 gig iPod, but I kinda want that sexy black one. Mine's been acting kinda wonky lately, maybe I can trade in for one of these?

Photo and video playback seem like good ideas to me at first in theory, but sound very cumbersome to try to get into the iPOD.

Other than buying from the aple store, how can you import video to the player? Rip from DVD's? Have to be compressed afterwards a second time to get into the player?

And only charging from the USB cable, as of right now? No standard included power cable? Have to buy accesories such as that/car charger/etc. ?

Video playback? How much playtime do you get per charge? It's going to drain the battery way more than regular music file playing of course.

Huh, still only 60 GB? I've seen plenty of other companies provide 100 or 120 GB replacement drives for iPods as well as other players with those drives. I say 60 in that, with movies especially, that 60GB suddenly looks very, very small. Oh well, guess I'll wait for the battery to go in my 20GB iPod and hope there is a larger version out than 60GB.

http://www.hpshopping.com is having a clearance on their stock of iPOD + HP models. Shuffle/Mini(except the 6GB)/and 20GB.

Basically the same thing as the Apple versions, with an HP logo instead of the apple one. Grey instead of white.

20 GB going for $254.99 I believe. 30 GB sold out.

But this one is not the photo version.

The 60GB version of this new video enabled iPOD is said to have better battery life than the 30GB video model, by about 4-5 hours. :/

As much as I love new technology I also fucking hate the way it makes all my current stuff obsolete.

Last Christams I bought a 40GB IPod Photo for about 500 Euro. About 6 months ago I saw the same IPod for 400 Euro. Now there is an Ipod Video? Too make matters worse it thinner ( and as such cuter and less cumbersome ) then mine.

It's a nice gadget for those who don't already have a portable DVD player, PSP, or GBA Movie Player, I guess. I won't be getting it (I'm going for the Nano myself) but I like the idea of downloading episodes onto the iPod.

But if they decided to put EM: Home Edition on instead of Desperate Housewives, that would be one huge draw for me.

My 40GB 4th Gen iPod w/ Click Wheel (B+W) was bought in Feb 2005. $400 from the Apple Store.

Not even one year later, look what you can get now for the same $400.

Makes me mad, but whatever, it still does what its supposed to do.
