im buying some red felt soon.
why do you ask?
i wish to make a red mage hat for my friend Danielle for X-mas.
now, does anyone have ideas on how i shall do this?
any patterns, or anything?

I would Fold the felt in a cone and put cotton on top of the hat and on the bottom.

Get some image resources and get the idea of what it is you need.

If possible try to use the felt as a cover over something that SORT of has that design.

all i can think of is another hat we have.
its basically the same but witha smaller brim and its green.

Red Mage Right?

Get some firm material to make your hat wider, and use the Red Felt as a covering over the orignal base. This technique is cheap, but an effectent way to not make a huge diaster.

Thrift Stores are nice... Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc to buy some weird material.
