Hmmm, I thought those figures simply made by a group of enthuseists, but it looks like they might have actually been made by someone actually in conjunction with Sega. Or at least Sega liked there stuff enough feature it promenently on their site.

Goes to show just how different copywrite laws are over there. Here, you cant even paint Disney characters on the side of a Day-care without getting sued, and over there you can sell just about anything relating to a copywrited source. Like my nice PSO mag mug.

Actually I think sega licensed this plasticworks company to make the toys for them.

Cool, now why cant they license them to sell those things on the open market instead of just at trade shows?! I WANT ONE!!! or two or three...

Hm, on the sculptors' website, he says he only got an "event only" license. That means he will only make a limited quantity and only sell it in an event (I guess it's the 5 year anniversary of PSO)...

Yeah, videogame companies only really focus on merchandise that will work as advertising. They end up selling something, and promoting a game's popularity at the same time. WIN WIN!
