Oh, please do! I still need all the help I can get! Don't worry, I can take it.

Allright then, lets keep this simple.

The combination of the eggshaped head, scrawny neck, and shoulders superman would be proud of dont go together very well. I'd create more of a slant between them, assuming this man is well muscled.

Well, lets provide a visual example shall we? *sketches a bit*

So here you can see a fairly toned torso (albeit a slightly sloppy one) The muscles in the body create a very defined shape, so once you know the layout of them well enough the rest naturally falls into place. Notice also that the waist isnt twig thin, this is a good thing, not only le females have waists. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

An easy way to map out the posture and pose of your character before you actually start to draw him/her is use a stick figure to construct a sort of skeleton. Like so,

However for some, this isnt enough, so they'll even go this far.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v106/Sarunakai/Torso3.jpg
and construct some of the general shape of the chest and such with block like pieces so that they dont get sidetracked from the origional posture/pose idea. (stick figures are often a little on the vague side)

The differences between Female/Male anatomy is larger than you might think. The same basic principles apply, but if you want grace you're going to need quite a bit of practice. I admit that I find myself spending more time trying to get female anatomy corrected and polished off, just because I find it that much more difficult.

Though, a female might make the same complaint about a male, I wouldnt know.

I could go into detail about other aspects of the human body, such as composing faces and constructing a good lookin pair of legs, but lets take it one step at a time.

Hope I've helped. Take what you like, leave what you dont.

Perhaps, most of your suggestions are things I have already been faced with but the thing is that....hmmm....gha...I have no idea how to explain it but It's a little more difficult than you obviously see...

I'll try and put it this way, the armor and all that kind on make it difficult to impliment the suggestions that you have said. The head part...I just can never seem to get that right. And you don't have to tell me to practice http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif, trust me, I do.

Overall, you said exactly what I though you were going to say. Even so, thank you for telling me, just tells me that I need to practice even harder.

I'd take what Sagasu said into consideration. If I were you, I'd spend some time (just say, 30 minutes a night) sketching out roughs of people.

By this, I mean blocking out a basic body profile, as Sagasu has shown extremely well. From this (obviously, draw it faintly) you can 'bulk' up for the armour. As a novice artist myself, I'd say you're currently getting a little too caught up in the little details. For a little while, go back to basics. Forget the armour, the weapon, everything like that, even eyes, hair etc. Just try getting the form of the human body tied down a little better.

The other thing I'd say is about the hair. After playing the game for so long, I know which HUmar hairstyle that is. However, there's one thing I'd like to point out. Hair is not totally flat against the skull. Hair has a certain volume to it, which it's a good idea to draw.

Take a look at this site, it's very good for free tutorials, and shows you how to draw hair, bodies, faces, the whole works.

http://www.howtodrawmanga.com/tutorial.html

I used that site, and am considering purchasing some of their books. Don't take what I said as bad, I'm just trying to offer constructive criticism. Keep practicing, and you'll improve, there's no doubt about it.

I would love to be able to practice every night but most nights I have a little more pressing matters to attend to. And the hair is also something I am having to work on.

But I have just 1 bone to pick, I don't want to scream at anyone because they have not seen my characters but, I'll just tell you, Dre is not what some people would call a "normal" looking character.

Its keeping it in mind that helps, your lines will correct themselves over time.

I always draw the basic anatomy first, then proceed to fit the body with armor/robes/a string bikini.. or whatever. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I also dont suggest trying to recreate the same image, or edit in the corrections. Always move forward, try something new and see how it turns out.~
