Do weapons and techniques have a max target limit?

I've been wondering for a while whether certain melee weapons (like Swords and Partisans) and the multi-hit techniques which require targeting (like Gizonde and Rafoie) have a maximum target limit. Does anyone know if there is a limit, and if so, what it is?

I did a forum search and looked through the guides but could not find an answer. I apologize if I may have overlooked something or if the answer already exists. If it does, could someone point me in the right direction?

I believe Slicers can only hit 4 targets, whether other enemies are in the range or not.

But between swords and partisans, doesn't partisans have a wider range? Which is probably why they're so weak...

some group spells do have a limit on how many monsters/boxes they can affect. dunno the exact numbers tho.

On ultimate i belive that the maximum number of enemies you can hit with a sword is 5, where as partisan is 6, that is mainly becasue they are a lot bigger/fatter than other difficulty settings, this is only in the caves though because i have not tried anywhere except there not had chance as my HUcast. This is what i belive is true, if anyone knows anymore im welcome to corections.

Partisans have the ATA that Swords lose.

swords partisans and slicers are 5s

i think techniques depend on the enemy. some monsters can be multi-hit by "gi" spells like the dragon or lillys, but "ra" spells only hit once per cast. but my experiance is if you can target an entire room, then it hits the entire room.

Slicers only hit a maximum of 4 enemies, not 5.

Techniques can hit up to 13 targets at Lv 30, except Gifoie, which can hit an unlimited amount of targets.

It is safe to guess that 13 is the maximum for anything that does not seem to have a limit, like Swords, Partisans, HP special, Berdysh special, Power Maser, etc.

I would think a tech like rafoie could hit as many enemies in range.

I'm sure that you won't get more than 13 enemies in one room. With partisans, I've hit more than 5 before: in forest, you can get the wasps to swarm in one spot with the nest, and hit them all.

Get 14 monsters + boxes, and see one unharmed.

Shots more than 5? I wish. Slicers are 4. tested them on all the bosses myself.

so have i crush bullet on gal gryphon hit 6-7 targets
and ive hilled the caves boss in about 5 seconds with vjaya hitting 6 targets
