I've been taking notes all week on the body positions of people in my school and I think this one is a good example of my notes.

As you can see, I also tried to merge a FOnewearl and a FOmarl and a person from the notes I have taken. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm gonna finish it with pen and perhaps color.
Let me know what you think!

I like it more than your previous drawings. also I would like to say in your other drawings I think the necks are too long.

A quick request.

Try a profile shot, or a 3/4 shot.

Of this character? Or who? Either way, I'll try!

Get some books on human anatomy.

Your nose and ears are too high. The eyes, and the top of the nose and ears should all line up.

The bottom of the nose should be close to the bottom of the ear.

Heads are not round circles.

Wrists are thin.

Eye sockets have eye balls in them, and the sockets aren't flat on the face.

The least of your worries are poses and different subjects. Get the basics down first, and then start working on more complex ideas.

As long as you keep drawing, the more you'll improve. However, ideas alone are useless unless you can effectively put them into practice. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

While I agree with skorpius about getting your porportions dealt with, I do recommend exploring with different poses. Best way to prevent bad habits from forming, such as drawing the same thing over and over again in the same way, is to never limit yourself to what you have done before.

Expiriment with
-Different angles. While improving is good, you dont want to be stuck only knowing how to properly adjust porportions to one angle.
-Backgrounds, start drawing them now, or you'll have difficulty with them later. I myself am still regretting not doing as many backgrounds earlier in my studies.
-Unique poses. People just standing there, looking at you, are only going to be so interesting. Try to have the pose match the personality of whatever your drawing, it can add a lot of life to your work.
-Color, personally I like to do this digitally, but thats up to you.
-Shading. Even if you dont color your image, simple shadows placed here and there can create an awesome amount of depth.
-Pictures without people. *gasp!* It can be highly beneficial to simply practice other things than the human shape once in a while. Since it gives you one less object to worry about. Another one of my own mistakes. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Have fun~

Growwllll..... I'm gonna take the time to try and defend myself on this one.

1) ROUGH DRAFT PRACTICE!! GET THAT FREAKING STRAIGHT!! PLEASE I DIDN'T MEAN FOR THIS TO GO INTO THE GALLERY OR ANYTHING. SHADING WASN'T MY FIRST CONCERN, LIKEWISE WITH COLOR.

2) Please refer to above. If in anyway I have offended you or pissed you off, please click the back button now, I do not wish to get into an arguement with anyone.

3) I do not have the availability or knowledge of where I can buy or look at a book of anatomy for I have moved recently and I don't know my surroundings very well. Otherwise, I would search for a book.

4) Thank you for the NEW advice. I didn't think of it like that. I will try and begin to draw backgrounds or pictures without people.

5) Trust me, I was paying careful attention to the notes I was taking, the people weren't posing for me. But I myself have no idea how or why I made the pose front on but it can't be helped.

Sigh....now that that is off my chest, I feel insignificant. But as always, I welcome opinions. Even with it being welcome, it doesn't mean I won't try and argue about it. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm out, Peace

In my opinion you improved.
Yes my opinion.
*nod nod*

So it's awesome that you tried a
diffrent pose to draw..not just a person standig around
without the arms and hands. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

I can't tell you new things for improving because the people told you the certain things already.
The only advise I can give you is: Try to look at your own hands, face whatever to improve. You'll see the face isn't just round blahblah.
I hope i don't annoy you with my blahblah. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

You want a cheap book for anatomy and the like
Marvel's guide to drawing comics is a quick 14 bucks. Its not oh forsakenly anatomically correct but it gets the job done.

OR take drawing in high school. It'll teach you basic things that you need to learn.

I'm not going to endgage you on openly on the forums. Only thing I will say is this:

3) I do not have the availability or knowledge of where I can buy or look at a book of anatomy for I have moved recently and I don't know my surroundings very well. Otherwise, I would search for a book.
It isn't that difficult. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0289800897/002-8367396-2646416?v=glance&n=283155)
I put "drawing book of human anatomy" into a Google search.

Penned. Modified. Shadowed (a little). Enjoy. And I just want to add that the head looks a little large because she is leaning forward.
