I giggle.

Nice coloration with that blue bit there. Funky gradient? Spiffy.

I prefer the non-red cross one, the red looks a little bit messier (well, life is messy, so... yeah).

May I make one small suggestion? Try using a smaller (possibly "harder") brush when coloring digitally for more control. That way, the size and shape of the brush won't dictate your shading to such an extent.
