Interesting BB Glitch

I traded off my Guren to SharBB today. She's a lvl 162 Hunewearl. She equipped it and while trying it out, noticed an extended shifta range. Later, after unequipping and re-equipping the Guren, the effect was gone. She believes she had a weapon on prior to equipping the Guren that extended the range of shifta.

I've seen similar discussions regarding equipping a high level force weapon prior to playing c-mode and getting a boost on techs in c-mode.

Anyone else see or know anything about this possible glitch?

It's an old one from GC, random range increases for no reason.
