This is the first time i put one of my drawings on this site. I don't know how it compares, but I hope well...

Its a pic of a caracter I recently found on google. I don't know too much about him, so please fill me in. I know that he is suposed to be EVIL and that bit, but thats about it. WHY DOES HE CARRY THAT FRIGGEN BALL THING?!?!

Anyway he carries that gourd with him because it's filled with sand which he uses to attack and defend~

Isnt the sand actually his mother or something? And he has to feed people too her. I dunno, I saw a few fan subs on the net a while ago, but I didnt get the whole story surrounding him. I'm not even sure why people seem so taken with him.

Gaara has a demon inside of him, Shukaku. the demon being inside of him, allows the sand in the gourd to automatically protect him without any concious effort by Gaara. Ah, okay, it was a fan-sub after all so you can never be sure it got translated correctly. I do specifically remember him talking to the sand/demon/mother/thing just as he was getting ready to fight Sasuke in the Tourney, saying he/she/it would like eating Sasuke a lot more than the other two anonymous ninja thugs he killed just minutes before.

My favorite thing about Gaara is his name. Its fun to say. Try saying it like a snobby rich english fellow who talks through his nose. GAaara...

Well, if you are talking about how his name sounds, then it's not as interesting as how he is named like that.
David draws a pretty good kanji, 'ai' (love), for the tatoo on his forehead & part of his name. Gaara means 'I love myself' or 'I am a demon'. heh
