I've noticed now with a few Ranger characters I've made that raising your mag in DEX isn't really useful, because you never really miss anyways and you only need to equip a few Arms if you're trying to equip the new rare item you've just found, so I'm thinking of raising a Ranger Mag with 15 Def, 15 Dex, and 170 Pow.

Any reasons why I shouldn't?

I don't see why not. I assume you're not going for a rare mag, then.

Fair enough. But odd DEX levels usually do not add another ATA point. In most cases, it rounds down. So, take 5 more off the DEF and add it to DEX for a 10/170/20/0.

Is this for a Ramar?

You've inspired me! I was looking for a way to make a kaitabha for my Greennil RAmar so I can use my MAG cell... I had to tweak things a little, but soon, I'll have a 5/170/25/0 Hamburger.

Awesome, and no, my Mag rounded it up, so I gain 8 ATA... is it specific to certain mag types? Maybe this is something someone can look into?

I still go for 5/145/50/0 on Ranger mags, at least for the early part of the game. The extra ATA not only allows you to make the most of your attacks, but it also allows you to equip awesome guns faster, which helps to get rid of the tedium of leveling a low-level guy.

At really high levels, though, lower DEX might be something to consider.

To the character's level. (changes for each class) By the next level, I doubt it will happen.

Ummm, Trystan, you're welcome? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
