View Full Version : Best ranger weapon to hunt rares with, and where to get it?

Just wondering what the best/most efficient ranger weapon was for rare hunting. I'm using the red handgun, but it just doesnt seem to be cutting it anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Red Mechgun is pretty good...so long as your ATA is high. =

Spread Needle is nice. Unreduced seize, as well as its style of fire.

Of course, if you want to know some of the best weapons, anyone here can say the Guld Milla are easily some of the best set of Mechs you can pick up, but certainly not the easiest =/

If you're purplenum, I would suggest looking for the Yas 9000 i believe it is? A bit stronger than Red Mechs, and not totally impossible like Guld/Milla.

Whatever YOU think are good weapons, are good weapons. We can only give you personal opinion. Of course the best way to find out is to expirement yourself.

Thanks, I really have had my eye on the spread needle, but it's proving to be the bane of my existence, finding it offline seems near impossible:(

Redria drop is reasonable, but the enemy dropping it (bringers) isn't abundant. =

But playing the Retired Hunter Quest reels in the most Bringers AND Del-D's, which also drop Red Mechs.

If you got lucky, you might find both of them during your hunts. =]

haha now I wish I wasnt purplenum, guess I just have to grind ruins til I find a spread needle http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif You know of any offline quests that have a lot of merlans in them?

I think what Skorp meant for you to pay attention to was this (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=2296).

Purplenum isn't bad though! You can still find Yasminkov 9000m as I mentioned earlier. Which is a purplenum only drop, and quite a nice mechgun at that. =]

As of right now I am using the Yasminkov 3000R Rifle, pretty decent. Also using a Final Impact as my spread, am also getting frustrated trying to get the Spread Needle. If you want a Yasminkov 3000R I could stop doing some Ruin runs and go thru the mines a couple times, Gilchich's drop em so it's not to difficult for me to get. I also like using the Frozen Shooter/Snow Queen, have fun freezing everything.
