untekked psycho wands don't drain HP?

i heard today from a friend that an untekked pwand will NOT drain HP. ive been playing pso since dc ver1 and this is the first time i have ever heard of this. im aware of the lavis cannon and how it does not drain HP on the spec attack if you leave it untekked. but i thought the pwand drained hp regardless.

i spent 6 months hunting pwand on bb jp ver and finally found it. and i tekked it rite away.

anyone out there have some experience using an untekked pwand? please let me know

They do, I remember trying it on Gamecube.

It does not, on US v1.1 and earlier. Any subsequent versions (Pal, JP/US Plus) have this fixed, I believe.

ok so just to make sure im understanding this:
on psobb, an untekked pwand will still drain HP. correct?

i also heard that an untekked lavis now drains HP when using the special. Wouldnt know for sure though, just heard that.

It's the same thing. If you are on PSO US v1.0 or v1.1, then the Lavis Cannon drains no HP, and has the power and accuracy of a heavy attack. (I think...) It's in one of the Stickies somewhere...
