Estimated remaining GC players?

I heard there's only a hundred or so, is this true?

I ask because, I'm planning on getting online again next month and would like to know the current situation on online.

LEt me get on right now and I'll give you a count.

Vega: 1 Users, 1 Teams

Altair: 0 Users, 0 Teams

Deneb: 4 Users, 1 Teams

Anteres: 1 Users, 0 Teams

EU ships: 11 Users, 4 Teams

JP ships: 120 Users, 36 Teams

And you can add me as 1 to somewhere on that list, probably Altair, just to make sure all the US ships have people on them.

A group of us (About 5) are still on but we've all got exams at the moment, other than that, I used to see around 500-750 peak times on the JP ships and about 50 on the EU ships. I barely go to the US ships so I don't know about that...

Weekends I normally see about 400 or more JP players on. For US it can be from 75-150 with EU players counting.

Yeah, lately on busy nights there's probably anywhere from 400-600 people online total- the majority of US users on Altair due to "troublesome users".

I, on the other hand, can almost always be found on Vega 01-01 (since I'm pretty much immune to the "trouble"), unless someone invites me to another game elsewhere for the time being.

I'm surprised they're still charging the monthly fee for this, especially with PSU coming. Just can't be worth it anymore.

I mainly play on EU maybe the others sometimes but not very often.

I have only just started to play again and i had to start again because of corrupt data on my old file.

You got another couple months until JP PSU.

They're gonnna milk it for all its worth. Or people still want to play online and can. Also note that the DC servers were never free for US players even at the end of its lifespan.

Seriously, you all know that right before PSU ships here in the States, there will be a MAD INFLUX of "final users" on PSO the week during, right?

Everybody remember the final days of DC's legit servers? Those were crazy numbers of people online at once. I don't think a single lobby wasn't full then...

They might for JP players, I am not sure if they will for the rest of us.

To run those servers doesn't cost much for them. They don't do server side saving nor is the hardware requirements to run the software is high.

The only thing they can do with those old servers is to throw them out or keep using them after PSU comes out so there is a good chance that they might be up for a while after PSU comes out.

Well, if not, you could just make your own server--> a very complicated method but it requires you to get all the data from the quests and such- one thing that I don't know how they do...
