Well, the most common pets are dogs and cats, of course, but, there are some other animals with a fair deal of intelligence that would be nice to have as a pet, and can be potty trained... Like a duck! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
Or a pig, or...
(Well, horses are nice, but I wouldn't call them pets. So big animals... Nah. Welll... If I wanted something to ride, an ostrich would be neat, but they're kind of dumb...)

Anyway, I personally, don't think I could have a pig... Just because when they squeal they scare the hell out of me every time. But I sure can think of having a duck. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Anyone else think they could have a duck or, somesuch less common, but that's still pretty bright?

Ever since seeing Starship Troopers, I've wanted a ferret. Then I found out that my friend has had one for years and she claims that they're "the most fun ever," so I think my mind is pretty much made up.

People think I'm a bit weird when they find out I have three snakes. That's kind of unorthodox, I guess.

I would love to own a giant bald eagle. I will never walk again!

I currently own hamsters. The rely on smell rather than eye sight, which I think is pretty cool.(One will have babies soo,YEAH!)

My brother and I grew up keeping tons of snakes, lizards, turtles and frogs of various kinds.

Iguanas, anoles, gartersnakes, blacksnakes, pythons/boas, geckos(which we left run around the house to eat bugs), cornsnakes, etc.

He grew up wanting to be a herpotologist.

At one point we even had an acquarium full of baby catfish, sunfish and bluegills, and a large enclosure for painted turtles.

Reptiles well out-numbered the cats and four dogs we've had over the years. Aside from the parakeets, cockatiels, hermit crabs, etc.

But, a full on pet. A tiger, or a black backed jackal, indeed.

I really like the idea of fish. Also exotic coral. Coral is pretty interesting as far as a "wow that is really pretty" pet. But not so much on the cuddle factor.

Tigers I would imagine are not high on the cuddle factor either.

Peacocks are &^%$#@!!!!!

Falcon for Falconry. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Though I haven't named the daddy long leg spiders that lay around my house eating up all the flies they seem to pass by their way.

Take a Tarsier...their eyes are 3x bigger than their brain and they have the unusual characteristic of committing suicide if taken out of their natural environment...

Basically if they're caged they smash their heads up against the cage.

So good luck if anyone in the world has a tarsier for a pet.
