Just a drawing for reference that I'm working on of Nai Alisdair Calus, AKA Ian-Kun X, the main character of my long-dormant fic(Which I am working on the revised prologue of currently, so maybe it's not quite so dormant after all). He's a FOmar, as one might have figured from the dre-robes. He's about 15 here, which puts the year it would be around AUW 3079. The uniform is intentionally not even close to accurate to what's used in the game, and I'm still ironing out the details(Then again, you could probably figure that out from the fact that he at the moment only has one arm)

So, anyway:

Comments? Criticism? Advice? D: Help me fix this BEFORE it's done and I get too lazy! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

It looks pretty good to me. The only thing I would change would be the size of the hand. It looks a wee bit small.

Other than that, the proportions are fairly good. maybe a little adjusting to the forearm.

but yeah, great stuff.

oh! and before I forget, are you going to put any other designs on the robe? I'd personally like to see some sort of belt or divide around the waist. Maybe even a pattern if belts arn't your think.

Yeah, I was thinking the hand was a wee bit small too. It's harder to get it in proportion when it's curled like that. T_T;; And the forearm gave me a bunch of trouble, too. XD;;;

And I actually was planning on a belt, yes. XD;;; I like some kind of division myself, so yeah. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Wondering though if I should make it symmetrical or asymmetrical. The latter would add a bit more visual interest, especially since he's just kind of standing there since it's supposed to be a head-on reference shot. ^_^;

well, depends if you're planning on adding a background, and how that will fit into the picture.

but yeah, hands and arms can be quite the botheration at times. I completely understand.

Did you get this robe design from the Book of Hunters like before? Or is it something you came up with? Either way, it looks spiffy.

I'd also say to add some symbols/characters to the currently blank strips. You were probably already planning that, of course.

Finally, I'd say go for an asymmetrical belt. It would be visually striking. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I see a definite good start here, Ian. Keep up the good work.
