Nintendo announces that Metroid Prime Hunters will feature voice chat, despite having said before, that it's most likely that no DS game will feature it, due to the processing power required to encode voice.

This is going to be interesting. Depending on how well it works (knowing Nintendo, they won't let it out the door unless they're completely satisfied), it may just pave the future of online DS games.

I'm gonna guess we'll be seeing first-party headsets made available, at or soon after the game's release.

It'll probably be really compressed and be hard to hear for the other player, but good news in the end!

One of my most wanting DS games ever still http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

LOL, THAT'S SO COOL!

Everyone will be like: j00 phail, n00b!

Except that would be rather creepy in real life.

I played with it today and it sounded good to me.

This is pretty cool as long as games dont degenerate into verbal abuse and cussing. A lot of people seem to get a lil too excited when playing some of these games online and forget themselves.
