Yeah, another S-Rank question. Just been looking through the database at the S-Rank Sword. Looking at the GC picture of it, and the BB picture, they look incredibly different.

The GC one looks like a golden Calibur.
The BB one is a golden Red Sword?

Is there a mistake in the database, or did they change it at some point? (Having never owned an S-Rank Sword, I don't know)

Edit: After looking, it could just be the camera angle on the BB sword that makes it seem wider, I don't know.

They look the same to me.

Owning one myself there's not that much of a visual resemblance to the Calibur.

Gold is the color of the blade.

It must be the lighting in Snapple's pic. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

The sizes cannot be mistaken.

S-Sword hasn't changed on BB, it's just that BB looks 10 times better graphically, and Snapple's pic is very blurry (beside being taken on GC). Also, Makiro uses high quality settings, that makes the BB snapshot even neater.

The reason why that image in the database is "a little blurry" is because it was taken with a video capture card (not because it was on GC), and its quality is actually very good for a capture. Also, Blue Burst is a port of PSOX, which is a less-graphically enhanced modification of PSOGC (no water ripples, for example). Saying Blue Burst is "10 times better graphically" is actually very inaccurate. Even at the best graphics settings, the only difference would be if the game was set at a higher resolution, and that doesn't make the graphics 'better', just bigger (since BB is just a port of PSOX, which is slightly graphically inferior to PSOGC).

That image of the S-Rank sword on Blue Burst is actually because of BAD GRAPHICS. Some of the graphic quality of Blue Burst is ignored by certain computers' graphics cards (especially laptops). That might be why some of the photon doesn't cover the solid area in the middle (as it shows on the GC image. and Kef's image). Another example of this would be Chain Sawd (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/Snapshots/brokensawd.jpg). That's why the body of the SWORD looks bigger, because we're used to part of it being lit up, or covered with photon.

STFU, troll.

BB is 10 times better-looking, your pseudo-technicalities do not change that fact, as shown above.

Whenever I switch my GC PSO on to check stuff I cannot on BB, I think "eww, ugly", it's like the game is behind a filter or something. The graphics are all blurry, pixelized, and there are a lot less details on characters and items, especially weapons.
S-Rank Sword on Makiro's picture looks better because BB has neat graphics, and high resolution, and the photon part of the weapon isn't blurry at all.

I don't a give a fuck if some people have crappy graphic cards, I don't, and BB looks a lot better.

The screen shot of the BB ... the S-rank sword ISN'T GLOWING.

The inside blade is supposed to be glowing. Look carefully. The size looks different because it's not glowing.

The game is blurry because you're viewing the console through composite video, onto your television, which isn't all too clear. However, the actual game, itself, is graphically superior to Blue Burst, as I said, because BB is just a port of PSOX. As you can see from your snapshot, it's just as clear as your BB screenshot, only smaller, which is why it's "pixelated". That's resolution, as I said, so the game looks bigger. You're seeing it on a computer monitor, rather than a television, so the game looks crisper. Only problem is that PSO is designed for the smaller resolution of a television, you'll notice this with the patterns and designs on characters, maps, weapons, and enemies.

You don't have to call me a troll, I wasn't trolling. I was correcting your statements because they were incorrect, and was providing an explaination as to why the SWORD looked bigger than it should.
