Hmmm. Firo's recent spending of large sums of money has led her to buy more cds.

Recent Favorites:
Cloud Cult (http://www.cloudcult.com) - Aurora Borealis
10 Years (http://www.10yearsmusic.com) - The Autumn Effect
Shawn McDonald (http://www.shawnmcdonaldmusic.com) - Simply Nothing

Cloud Cult has a rather unique touch to their music, emphasis on lyrics and odd southern tone. Aurora Borealis in particular, tends to have a rather arousing sense of perspective, as it's written (lyrically) through the eyes of a child. Most of the songs featured oddly unconventional instruments. I Had Breakfast With My Shadow is a recent favorite.

10 Years had their first album about six months ago. Firo usually doesn't listen to such metal, but had the itunes song forever ago. It came up during a full library shuffle, and sounded quite nice. Went off to buy actual disc. Cast it Out.

Shawn McDonald. Another old tune I've rediscovered through itunes and its' library shuffle function. When purchased, I wasn't expecting Christian Rock, but go him. Can't say I concur with his beliefs, but apparantly, it left him a great ability/motivation to write lyrics. He's a rather talented writer and singer. Mostly acoustics though. Oh, and one of the rare uses of cello/strings in recent music. Oh, and his voice doesn't sound like an adolescent screaming into a mic. Truly amazing. Rather smooth transition between songs, and such. Emphasis on Don't Walk Away, which has been stuck in my head for almost two weeks now.

Actually. Ignore all the shit i wrote above. I can't describe music well for my life, excpet that it sounds nice. Most of them have full versions available at the official site, and all of the above are available through itunes, one way or another. Just putting more notice to people about good music. Yay. Feel free to add other good music.

my new favorite kind of music are ballads, mainly piano and rock ballads, because they show even the rich and famous can hurt too. plus they're pretty. here's my current fave's:

Heaven(Candlelight Remix) - Yanou
Scarborough Fair - Simon & Garnfunkel
The Music Of The Night - Andrew Lloyd Webber
100 Years - Five For Fighting
Candle In The Wind - Elton John
Piano Man - Billy Joel
Every Rose Has It's Thorn - Poison
You Raise Me Up - Josh Groban

enjoy. Heaven is the prettiest one.

junk!
nah, just kidding. i really love the NOIR OST. its sorta sad tho that they use the same song over and over again in the actual show, thus nearly wearing it out. a bit more variation would have been good.

Ive been quite random with my musical choices at the minute. Several choice tracks from FLCL OST 3 have been whizzing around my favourites (I really like the new vocal version of 'Nightmare'), and Foo Fighters In Your Honour CD1 gets played quite a bit when I want some raw energy to do stuff.

Also been playing 'The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny' a lot for the last month, just so addictive. Oh, and 'Lotion' by The Greenskeepers, inspired by the killer and his motives in Silence of the Lambs. Yes, sounds bizarre, but has a really addictive tune.

I like pretty much anything from opera to techno to jrock... Just not rap.

I recently discovered the exact kind of music I've been looking for for years in Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois, and Pyscho le Cemu.

My favourite songs are:
STEP You - Ayumi Hamasaki
Dogfight - Move
Beast of Blood - Malice Mizer
Mayonaka ni Kawashita Yakusoku - Malice Mizer
N.P.S. N.G.S. No Pains, No Gains - Malice Mizer
Mephisto Waltz - Moi Dix Mois
Broker - Psycho le Cemu
Rishuu - Psycho le Cemu

Favourite songs at the moment are:

Beast and the Harlot- Avenged Sevenfold
Supervixen- Garbage
Daylight Dancer- Lacuna Coil
Phantom of the Opera- Iron Maiden
Bitter Pill- Motley Crue

Been listening to those a lot recently. My musical taste's kinda wierd- varies from Soundtracks (Final Fantasy, some of GT4's music, Metal Gear), to bands like Garbage, and occasionally (usually when I'm stressed or angry http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif ), I have a few odds and ends from harder bands like Dimmu Borgir.

Of course, I'm somewhere in the 80's/90's, mainly listening to Iron Maiden/Metallica, etc. I will listen to anything apart from rap though.

Suddenly, I'm a Broken Social Scene fan.

I decided to see if Borders carried any of their stuff, and I was most pleased that they carried both their breakthrough album "You Forgot It In People", and their latest release, the self-titled..."Broken Social Scene". http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif They even had the limited edition of the latter, which comes with a bonus EP! I love EPs! I purchased both of them. :3

Stars and Sons is glorious. <3

My other musical tastes are pretty varied. I enjoy stuff ranging from j-rock, alternative, pop, classical, to techno, game soundtracks, jazz, blues, progressive, etc. If you wanna go all musical stalker on me, click here (http://www.last.fm/user/Eihwaz0). http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

In Stage Band, we just started working on a long 8+ minute long song from the musical Rent! Actually, to be more accurate, it's a bunch of songs from rent. So I went on a, "Rent Spree!"

I'm now obsessed with the musical Rent. That's my story.

(Well, Rent and Fall Out Boy)

Hmmmm.

Recent music includes:

Smile Empty Soul - Anxiety
Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself
Snow Patrol - Final Straw

Wiki said Smile Empty Soul never officially released Anxiety, so ...

At a concert on September 22, 2005 at The Beaumont Club in Kansas City, Missouri, lead singer Sean Danielsen stated that their new record, titled "Anxiety," would not be released due to problems with their label. The band told fans that in order to receive the new album they could purchase one of a very limited number of burned copies or attempt to download the album online via [bittorrent].

It's pretty good, dunno why they would've had any legal issues. Censorship of the arts suck D:<

Imogen Heap was recommended by a friend. Too hard to describe. Just look into it.

Snow Patrol is one of those other occasional gems you find browsing through itunes. After sifting through a lot of generic stuff, I found Snow Patrol.

I'd go into deeper descriptions, but it's 5:30 am, I have to go look for my sanity. Have a nice day. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Oh, and Wazzy, when I clicked to last.fm (http://last.fm), the site said I already had an account, which I honestly don't remember making. o_o; I do recall installing an iScrobbler thingy a while ago, which is supposed to stalk my iTunes player, but doesn't work right for some odd reason or another. :3
