Currently, it's not on the backwards-compatibility list, so no

PSU will be on it though, so.. go blow your money, it will look better there than it will on the PS2.

At the moment, the 360 is not backwards compatible with PSO. Nothing has been announced about making it backwards compatible. Also, I doubt you will see a new PSO game on the 360. Blue Burst on the PC was likely the last incarnation of PSO that you'll see. Finally, it has not been confirmed yet by any official sources that PSU will be coming out on the 360.

Don't even bother getting the 360...it burns out really quick, thats why everyone was taking it back right when it came out.

With Xbox 360 you only pay for the hunters license, you don't have to buy xbox live gold to play mmo's on Xbox 360.

It was stated already that it is NOT CONFIRMED that PSU will even be coming to 360, and PSO is not on the list, and I somehow doubt it will be.

Even if it was, I would be hard-pressed to find that you don't need to pay for XBL on top of a Hunters License. You need to do it now on Xbox.

Yeah but PSO does not play on 360 at the moment.

the reason its not been backwards compatable made is due to the memory card issue, they'd have to rewrite the entire executable so that the game could comprehend both the 360 mem card and the xbox mem card.. which in my imagination would be a pain to do.. so sadly no PSO for 360 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

True, but the website says all xbox MMO's will only have to pay the monthly MMO fee as they can be played with only a silver xbox live account, check the official xbox site if you don't want to believe me.

You should have clarified yourself the first time. No, you don't need XBL Gold to play MMOs on the 360, on top of the MMO monthly fee. If that were the case, I'm sure I'd be thinking twice about subscribing.

Wow, I didn't even know the 360 couldn't play XBOX games. Another reason not to get it. lol

That's not entirely true. Xbox 360 DOES play SOME Xbox games... they released a list a few months ago of what games were compatible with the promise of more games being added... though nothing additional has been released.

I may eventually be looking for a 360, but right now I just can't afford one, and I can't justify it until either there are more games that I play made backwards compatible, or they release some more games that I enjoy. Woman cannot live on Elder Scrolls 4 alone!

I believe they actually updated the list once, and have been on an extended break since then (which ends sometime around now, I think).

Microsoft made it known that they intend to emulate the entire Xbox's game library, but I think that if that is to happen, it will take quite some time.

Personally I'd like to see Blue Burst and Episode 3 as Xbox Live Arcade titles. >>

With BB, it's a simple matter of making the client run on the 360. Since all the pertinent data is server side, after all, one could just input his or her UserID and password as if he/she were playing the PC version. With the hardware's power they could have the game running as if it were on "high end" mode.

Cross-platform play is apparently possible on XBL, as they did get it to work for FFXI. On the other hand, that game requires you to install PlayOnline to the system, which is a little redundant... but if redundancy is all it takes, then I'm all for it.

I'm just an optimist at heart, really. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
