I know the movie you're talking about, and I'll be damned if I can remember what it's called. It's an older movie, back when animatronics and puppetry were very in.

Spoilers
A young boy falls in love with a girl, the boy is 'in-tune' with nature and the secrets of the forests(nymphs, the two last remaining unicorns, etc).

The girl brings doom to them, and is taken to be the bride of Darkness, as the boy and some dwarven(or was it gnomes?) allies forge to the palace to take back the girl and bring back the horn of the unicorn. During all of this, time has stopped perpetually, creating an everlasting winter until the balance is returned.

..damnit, why can't I remember it? I've seen it quite a number of times.

LOL. I remember watching that along time ago and thinking it was pretty good. It was directed by Ridley Scott and I believe there is a Director's cut available for it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Legend (Ultimate Edition) (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000063UR2/qid=1140240052/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_3/102-4193828-9954525?s=dvd&v=glance&n=130) has both versions.

You'd be surprised at what you can find sitting on store shelves on DVD, these days. Chances are, you will be able to find it. Keep in mind that Legend was made for a generation of children that are now adults and have two key attributes that are very very important for marketting success: money and nostalgia.

Tim Curry ftw.

You should be able to find this at Wal-Mart, Target, or any store like that. It's a very popular movie.

There's a good chance you'll find it at Walmart, actually. Observe (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=1792473).

Didn't David Bowie do the soundtrack to this movie, or was that Labyrinth?

What about that movie where the unicorns are getting captured by this evil bull, and trapping them in the ocean forever?

To save this one she is transformed in a human, and it like totally ruins her life.

lol anyways I think it was called The last unicorn.

You remember those first great movies you see as a kid forever dont you?

Labyrinth. Which is better than Legend!

I definitely like his character in the movie too.

By the way, my nephew at the age of 12 saw 'Labyrinth" for the first time, and was actually scared. A true testament to the legacy of animatronics and puppetry.(Jim Henson (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001345/), your Lord when it comes to such things.)

"Dance Magic, Dance", "Underground", and "As the World Falls Down". Hell yeah.

What babe? The babe with the power
What power? Power of voodoo
Who do? You do
Do what? Remind me of the babe"
