DC offline only. Worth it?

hey, i dont know if any1 remembers me but i used to play on the xbox and now want to play on the dreamcast, but dont know if its worth it, no online (or is there?) so what do you think?
offline alone worth playing?

Why would you downgrade from v3 to v2? (Or even v1)

Since you were on the XBOx version, the only problem that could be brought up is needing an XBox Live, but since you already were playing PSO, that shouldn't be a problem.

The thing is that in Ep 1&2 at least you can found very good rares, not without a decent effort and patience. The drop rates for rares in DC version are extremely insane, i played in Dc version first and, if i remember well, the 9 stars weapons were really easy to find in VHard difficulty (db saber, kaladbolg, brionac, etc...) and they look the same as a normal saber, sword or handgun, just with different color. ( a little bored i think), but the other weapons (10 stars or more, armors too) has drop rates of 1/2000 min... the Flame Garment is dropped by Sil Dragon in a chance of 1/910, !!when in the hell you will get that!!, is a little frustrating...
Read this, the drop rate for Lavis Cannon in Ultimate Caves Viridia is 1/1'194.743 from a Pofuilly Slime! and this is not the worst...

The Agito 1975 can be dropped by Booma in Vhard Forest Skyly, drop rate:

1/166'666.666 ...!!!
That means never.

My advice is NO, stick to the XBOX

Yes when ST made version 2 it was the best move they ever made as far as rare drop rates are concerned..

That lavis cannon drop rate(purplenum atleast) is 1/30,000 or something. That's still bad, but not as bad as the slime one that was very famous on V1...

I have a friend in the UK (a RAmarl named Milla, leader of the ~Phantasy Chicks!~ clan) and a friend from Greece (HUnewearl named ArenaDC, same clan) who still meet with their clan on DC and say that the DC servers for EU and JP are still up.

I say stick with xbox. though I still play v2 to just casually play on the hombrew servers. Its a good break. Work and keep your xbox character as goo das you can get em, but when u get bored with play DC PSO on the hombrew servers. thats what alot of poeple i know do.
