PSO E1&2 Snapshot

I got PSO E1&2 today and noticed that there is snapshot funtion in the options menu.

Since I had a 2nd memory card in port B I went ahead and made a snapshot file, after that it just gave me a screen with the PSO logo.


My question is; Does anyone know how to use the snapshot function? Tah.

After that, you need to get a 2nd controller, and plug it into 4th slot. That's right. You heard me right: 4th slot. Then, anytime during a game, grab that controller, press and hold L. You should get a snapshot window. You can zoom in (but not by much) by holding R, move the window w/ D-Pad or C, and rotate the window around w/ the stick. Once you get a desired position for the window, press A or X. It should prompt you for snapshot confirmation. The end.

But be ware! the shots are vewie vewie blurry. *gasp!*

Connect to the homepage by going on the first option available on the left of your screen.

When it's connected and loaded, select the 5th option down. You should be at a page with several options(there are 4 in total), and yellow text on the page. If you read the Japanese text you should be able to make out the word 'BBS' in almost all of them. If you're not at that page, and you're at a page with yellow links, select the 5th option down to take you to the correct page.

Select the one that's second from bottom. It should have a yellow link in it, but don't click that. (It's the only one that doesn't contain the word 'BBS')

You should be at this screen: http://tails04.sonicteam.com/visualbbs/index_p.html but there will be an extra button below number 4 on the list.

Hit the button on the right. Next screen press the grey button, then when the pop up box appears press the one on the left, then when a second appears, press the one on the left again. A box will pop up and you should notice the letter 'B' in it. Select the only option, and then again, select the only option. The arrow pointer should turn in to a hexagonal rotating shape. (Note: this can take several tries, if you end up at a screen that has a small box at the top and a button just below it, press L trigger and try again.)

Your picture should be displayed with 3 text boxes.

1. Picture title
2. Name of photographer (should fill in automatically)
3. Comment

Once filled out, hit the 'OK' button.

Press the grey button on the left to confirm that's what you want to post.

You should be at a screen like this: http://tails04.sonicteam.com/visualbbs/html/200209/1617.html Grey box is to add a comment, blue is to go to picture list.

How to take Snapshots.

You need 2 controllers and 2 memory cards. Have a controller in port 1, and the other in port 4. You need 15 blocks of space free on your second memory card. (I'm not sure if that's right.)

Controls for the GC pad in port 4:
You need to hold the L Trigger to do anything, so holding L..
A - Takes a zoomed snapshot.
X - Takes a regular snapshot. Basically, whatever is displayed on your screen, is captured completely.
C stick - Navigates the lens, you can move in anywhere on the screen and capture the area in the box by using A.
Analog stick - Rotates the camera around your character. You can move it up and down slightly.
R trigger - Zooms in closer on your character.

You need to make a sticky about this. For when PSO GC comes to the states, we're all gonna want to take priceless pics of when that happens.

Uh, they officially supported it with the DC too. And, just like with the GameCube, when they supported it with the DC it was a Japanese site. Believe me, I know, I took around 200 total VMU pics during my PSO run, using just about every method to convert 'em, including that donut site, the official Japanese VisualBBS site, and uploading em to my PC via my double power, then converting them via a program someone put out for converting em.
