Silent Hill (http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/silenthill/). It looks like it could actually be good. Last month's EGM had an article on it also.

There are a few movies I'm interested in.
X-men 3, Superman returns, Mission Impossible 3.
I wonder if that Ultraviolet movie will be any good.

X3
Silent Hill

V for Vendetta (actually looks pretty decent, throwing blades are badass)

Ultra Violet looks lame, but I hold some hope for it because I think the producer (or director...I forget which) for Equilibrium is doing the movie.

And Silent Hill just might actually be the first good video game movie...with the guy who did Brotherhood of the Wolf I think the movie has some actual potential.

Silent Hill, V for Vendetta, The Hills Have Eyes, Snakes On a Plane, Curious George, Final Desination 3 (want to see it a second time), and maybe Ultraviolet. While the title and subsequent tagline are certifiably lame, I get into the movies for free, so it's not like I'll have wasted anything besides two hours, and I probably would have wasted those anyway!

I snuck into Firewall a week ago between basketball tourney games...don't see it...but here's a brief summary:

* Harrison Ford is still the man but he falls over a lot

* The movie is boring

* A guy gets a pickaxe in the back

Yeah, that pickaxe guy got owned. It also had a ridiculous "walking off into the sunset" ending. I mean, that's literally what the family Ford did, dog included. At least they didn't make any lame end-of-an-episode-of-Thundercats-esque puns or anything.

Yeah..

My friends and I basically just made smart assery comments all movie, which didn't help, but it felt like that movie was a plug for modern day appliances.

"Sweetie, I need to borrow your APPLE: Ipod MP3 PLAYER, so I can upload it to the DELL SERVERS..."

I couldn't stop laughing when he said "Your daughter has beautiful blue eyes" then he showed the horrific camera pic phone of her screaming.

Oh, hell...good times.

I saw Firewall and thought it was awesome. A real movie with a real plot for a change and not just high budget CGI. Now that I've taken a break from crazy action, I want to see...

X3 and Vendetta. I'm sure people will talk me into going to a bunch of other flicks, but those are the two I plan on going to see on my own free will

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing Silent Hill and V for Vendetta this year. Silent Hill because it looks like it might be the first truly awesome video game to movie adaptaion (that, and Silent Hill is awesome), and V for Vendetta because I love stories involving oppressive governments.

Yeah I remember getting the comic books by Alan Moore when they were first published and I thought they were awesome, as was Watchmen which is also getting made into a movie http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I'm not a huge fan of Natalie Portman but I'm still excited to see the movie.
