Nar lillys..

ok i've been pipeing for nar lillies in VH temple with a Purple RAmar now for at least 3 hours and have yet to see a single one. i am pipeing in the room with the 3 lillies and from my estamets i've piped at least 600 times, meaning that i would have had 1200 chances of seeing a nar lilly..somthings wrong here as i've seen many different rates for it and all of them being around 1500 to 1600 for both of them..

my question is if anyone knows FOR SURE, the rate at which they appear.

Just because a rate is 1/500 and 1/600 doesn't mean you'll get lucky. Probability is a fickle mistress. On a side note, if your playing online, then you have a problem, but I'll assume your not.

a chance of 1/500 or 1/600 doesn't mean that if you pipe 600 times you will get one lilly...

that's a calculation that happens on each pipe...

Every time the code spans a Lilly, it calculates the probability of it being rare. There's one chance in 600 that it will be a rare lilly.

Next time it respawns it, it's gonna calculate it all over again.

And that "dice" is rolled every time you pipe, as the lilly respawns every time you come down.

Also, online, piping doesn't work (thus, no piping in blue burst), mostly because the server holds information on which monsters spawned on a particular room. So, it's only one dice roll.

My suggestion? keep trying.. it's not that hard.. a Nar Lilly just spawned on a Endless Nightmare Run online on gamecube just now... too bad i was on normal and it dropped a General/Mind.. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Anyway, you should really give it a rest if nothing shows up after, say, 50 pipes and do something more productive (as far as PSO is concerned) and do a run somewhere.

sorry about that..i was annoyed and its hard to think when your annoyed now isnt it?..anyways, yea i finaly found one but it droped meseta..stupid lillies! i want a flowen frame and every time i find one in VH it drops meseta..

They say the drops for StandStill Shield is 1/2, but I had to kill 5 to get mine.

Others had to kill more than 10 to get 1.

Oran - Red Slime - Ultimate .... Found 7 Red Slimes, not one Guard Wave... Chances: 1/2 ... 50/50 ... 50% chance and I encountered Red slime 7 Times!... not ONE Guard Wave...

Yet, Skyly - Hildetor - Ultimate - Forest.... Found 5 Hildetors, all gave me Red Saber. Chances: 1/2 ... 50/50 .... 50% chance... and I landed every one of them on heads.

And here's my biggest one
Bluefull - Tollaw - Ultimate - Forest.......... Didn't even kill CLOSE to 28,000 of them... and unintentionally... a Tollaw dropped me Agito 1975 (real one) .... Chances: 1/28,808 ....

It's all chance...

anoying isn't it, 12 nar lilys piping for hero ability. only two hero abilitys and then they got currupted
