To all my PS2 game importers out there

I imported a game from japan and I was wondering if the AR Max for the PS2 can give me the option to play imports. I read on the box that you can play copied games so I figured if it can play copied games then it can play imports. So i asked every ebgames, gamestops, and funcoland employees just to verify and they have no clue. So to all you importers out there can I use the AR to play imports?

I can't say for sure, but I'm PRETTY sure you can. >> I mean, I read in the one for my GCN's instruction manual that you can play imported games with an AR...

For anyone that has the newest Action Replay do any of you know if it plays imports?
