ARE NOT PANTS AT ALL! THEY SUCK!

Now. We are not talking about those tight pants you do yoga or running in. Nor those dressy pants that are kinda wide and kinda flap around when you walk. I am talking about NORMAL work pants. The ones that are built to be quite sturdy, comfy to wear, and supposingly practical.

But with no pockets.
It might be difficult to imagine what it is like with no pockets. Just for a second, empty your pockets as you get home and see what do you have in there. And think about the possibility of things that CAN be put in there.

Work pants. Hello practicality!
I can understand that they want to make those pants look pretty on people. Without back pocket so they can hug your butts and nothing gets in the way of showing them! Or no side pockets so they won't stick out when you put stuff in there and hence ruining your thigh lines.

Actually. I DON'T understand at all. If you wanna look sexy, wear something else! These are work pants! They are built for work! NOT looking sexy! Especially those pants with no pockets, but has pocket-like flaps and seams sew on them.

WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT OF THOSE?!?!

Why put fake pockets in? Did you know people might think they are real pockets and try to shove things in them??? Or find out after they bought them and want to burn them?! Where are you supposed to carry your pocket knife without a pocket? What about pens?! Ladies' shirts already come without a chest pocket!

WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE CONSTANTLY TRYING TO DENY WOMEN THE CHOICE OF CARRYING THINGS?!

Ya. Purse.
What if I only want to carry 1 or 2 things that would fit really nicely in pocket.
Except there aren't any.

Well. I have come to a conclusion that pants without pockets are not designed to be worn by human beings. They are designed for models, in photos. Which we all know aren't real people. Because real people do more than posing and showing off curves. ... I hope. >.>

You GO navi. XD

I agree on everything above. Personally, I hate purses. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

So, navi is a closet DTPA member. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

But I really do agree. I never carry a purse if I don't have to 'cause that's just one more thing to worry about. Also, I must express my frustration with really tiny and/or shallow pockets. They're worse than faux pockets, because they're so tantalizingly close to being useful but ultimately too small to jam anything in there but the smallest of small things. Rawr, functionality is good, Evil Pants-without-Working-Pockets Manufacturers!

I see purses less and less everyday, which is a good thing since it is so easy to steal those things than it is to steal your pants.

I think it's because with fake pockets the designers think they can make the pants fit smoother or tighter or something. Besides which, when have girls ever needed practical clothing (according to clothing designers, that is)? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif That part really annoys me. I want pants that let me not carry a purse with me (ie. have room for keys, money, id, etc), because I am likely to get up and leave the purse somewhere, completely forgetting I had it with me to begin with. I do not want pants that invite/force more people to look at my ass, I want pants that are practical. And pants that fit, but that's a different rant altogether.

I wish someone with half a brain would start designing/producing clothing, so we could get some that was actually practical rather than 'sexy' (or designed for a 5'3" size 0 model).

Man, I used to buy carpenters just to have many pockets and straps at my disposal. Now I'm down to jeans with minuscule pockets and where my wallet and car keys can barely fit in. >_<

What's happened to the pants that were so huge it looked like you had taken a shit in 'em?! Those things had REAL BIG pockets!

I had a pair of pants with pockets so big, I could carry a PSone in them.

You could fit a PSone in a pair of my old Jnco jeans from highschool. Those back pockets were HUGE... the whole pants were huge actually. You could fit like three people into one leg. What were we thinking in the 90's?

If your retailers have them around, Navci, buy Dickies. They have relatively deep pockets, and a certian line even come with an extra little pocket for whatever you might have a use for on your right side.

They look great on girls, too.

With all due respect toward the original post, I have a confession to make:

I carry a purse.

With an embroidered NERV logo.

And the most important thing in it, besides my wallet, is my Nintendo DS.

I kinda like it better than any pocket. >_>

While I'm not a lady, I do like my practicality. Whenever I'm not there to get the pants, as in gifts and whatnot, I always specify that my pants need pockets. Heck, I even make sure my swim shorts have pockets. Even when I'm not carrying anything I have a habit of putting my hands in my pockets.

On a similar tangent, what is the point of a suit jacket with those stupid fake 'pockets'? Really, I USE my pockets for things and having them sewed shut doesn't exactly serve any purpose. One particular coat I had at one point had pockets but they were sewed shut! Had the whole pocket lining and everything but no way to open them up! What kind of nutjob came up with that brilliant idea?

Ergo to designers: pockets were invented for a reason, to USE THEM.

>_>

<_<

Fake Pockets I absolutly hate.

personally I've never had any when I buy pants myself because I make sure to buy the exact same brand, size and colour pants each time >_>

the last two pairs of pants someone in my family has bought me, was a pair of cords which had small pockets and I wore those little >_> the other pair, had no pockets what so ever, and I Was always asked why I never wear em http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I always carry a ton of junk with me at one time and alot of the time, 6 pockets on my pant and 4 on my coat just don't cut it <_< I'm a pack rat http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif a veyr very big pack rat.

that's one reason why I also carry around my back pack at all times >_>

oh, and I have a simple solution to pocketless pockets http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif Sew your own pockets onto it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

it works pretty good as long as the stitches are strong http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Er. Guy pants are super long and super huge on the waist? I am not THAT fat.

Also. There are plenty of casual pants that has pockets even on ladies pants. But I am talking about semi-dressy pants that you go to work with. Those hardly ever come with usable pockets. ._.

pants without pockets? blasphemy!

http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I don't know what I'd do without my overly pocketed pants. the possibilities are endless http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

That's half my wardrobe. ._.

I'm not down with change/don't get out much I guess. Well I used to be able to fit the waists too but lost a buncha weight and am now MC Hammer Jr.

Can fit DVD's in the back pockets but thankfully am buying pants that do fit me every now and then.

Well workpants with no pockets may suck but it could be worse. Fannypacks. Worst idea of fashion ever.

And when you get home you can throw on the pair of sweatpants that you'll never trade for anything.

Maybe there's okay pockets in women's pantsuits bottoms? Black capris with pockets not allowed at work?

I like big pants, you can put stuff in them.
