The Rappy one is nice, and so is the RAmarl one. However, the FOmar one has a bit too much dead space, IMO.

Is the Rappy avatar from your contest entry? It looks ok, but it would probably be better if the face were centered better.

As a general rule, obscured faces don't work very well for avatars when you are using snapshots. They lack the "emotion" that you would get from a frontal shot. Also, the last two avatars have a lot of "dead space" around the characters.

Yeah, I loved that snap a lot and decided to see if I could turn it into a nice Avy.
