My pick would have to be for what JUST happened. I finished up Hard Caves on my HUnewearl, now Lv23. I sell all the items I dont want & get myself set up for Mines. I save, that way all my progress has been recorded. I just happened to forget one thing...talking to the Principal. Because of this stupid "But thou must" moment (as I call it...long story), I have to do the Caves ALL OVER AGAIN! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I know, its kinda laughable, but, damn, I wasted that time now. Um......... there has got to be something dumb... I played a hunewwearl, jade, 'til level 40-ish in multiplayer until i realized i didn't beat normal mode alone. My favorite/funniest mistake was in 4 player. We were all running through the caves, me and 3 friends. I was a ramarl loving my new found guilty light and my friends were behind me... except one. He had to run ahead through a door but then... a trap spawned above his head! I yelled "Look out!" I didn't know he had the game paused (so he could pass the trap) so i shot my guilty light blowing the trap above his head, killing him. he was mad.

Let's see... I dropped my Suppressed Gun (45% on native) to pick up some more items before going back to P2. I sold the stuff and quit. Doh.

Of course, there's my Oran Racast that I started with. Boy, that was fun.

I lent my memory card to a friend to show "his" character (Anastasia) to his friend. I got it back with her data still transferred. I lost, among many things, a Cure/Freeze, The Sigh of a God, a Nidra (50DEF, 150MIND), and, well, everything in the bank.

I've played mega-missions. Forest to the end of the Ruins (among the latter half, I'd start to fall asleep and wake up to "Warp back to Pioneer 2?").

Oooh! I died and lost all the money I had on my character. To restock, I take all the money from the bank (999,999), buy what I need, return where I died, and I die again. Losing all the money. Again.

OK OK funny stuff. As an update, there's some good news concerning my messup. I started Caves again (as I had to), made it close to the end of Caves 2 when I saw the pillar. It was lit up! I never was able to activate it, save, & it stayed as such (without completing the lvl). I figured what the hell. I went up to talk to the Principal. Sure enough he gave me the "Go to the Lab" speech. Mines was unlocked! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif So apparently, as long as you hit the pillar, even if you forget to talk to the Principal & save, you still can talk to him next time you load up your game. I learned something new. As for the messups, keep em comin'. Some of them are hilarious. Some are sad (as I've been in similar situations). Ohh I know what the stupedist thing ive done on PSO. I accedently dropped all 999999 mesta that I was holding before i fought Dark Falz on vhard mode. The stupidest thing I have ever done was using 4 different setups (one for each of my characters) and NOT correcting this even after the uptenth death due to "Oh, right, on that char Resta is on 0..."
The moment I felt most stupid was a PW4 run (ult) we were on the last spawn and I run out of Ice AND confuse traps. After 30 seconds I realize I still have fire traps!! I start using them (every 2-3 secs) but it doesn't break the Ill Gills combos... All my moons and mates are up, my friends are dead, I let the last fire trap and the last Ill Gill headbutts me to death. As I fall, the trap explodes, the Ill Gill dies and "you the clear all ennemies" pops up... There's a way around this. When his tentacles start shooting up from underneath you, let them hit you. You'll be poisoned & then, you can heal yourself (if you have techs). I'm guessing you do since androids can't be paralyzed.

This probably isn't my stupidest thing, but it happened today, and I remember it! We had got to Olga Flow in ep2c4, and when we warped, our HUcast stays in area 26(Apparently, it happens, first time I've seen it). On his second form, I was FOing, and PJ decided to run away from the other HU, so I was trying to run and support both of them. The HU died because of lack of scapes(Didn't have time to give him). So it's not like me trying to run back and forth failed the stage >_>

-so this was my first time on Ult caves and i was examining every thing. i see a ob lilly. i walk up and stare at it thinking, "i cant be hamed, i have 10 sol's on me." then... megid in the eye.
then when i see my first hildetorr i wait and see what kind of spell it spits out(thank goodness for scape dolls)

and now a story i witnessed
- so i was on the first ship first block (hackers haven) and was in a full room with a guy trying to use a Dark flow with hack stats. well the whole time he was trying to get low hp to use the special, so finaly after clearing a room he gets hit by a trap in the hallway. he almost died but had his wish. he proceeded to destroy a room full of ememies and in the next hallway, one with no traps, his name flickers like a light bulb and he dies. after a good 30 seconds of confusion we learned what happened. and thus marks the first and only time i have seen a luminus field kill its user <(^_^<) lol

I've officially topped my stupidest thing ever. I was on my 2nd Caves run today hunting for a Mil Lily to get a Sange. The 1st I had to abort when I found a Chain Sawd & saved instead of risking losing it. Anyway, I FINALLY make it to the room with 6 Lillies & start piping. Inside of 3 min, I see a Mil right there in front of me on the right side. I stepped back to S/D & my foot was a lil too close to the pipe I had just set. You can guess what happened next...

I found out the hard way that mats shouldn't be used right away, just like zwandude. I kept finding evade mats and def mats. I'm a HUcast. I would keep thinking,"I still got 130-something uses left. No big deal..." until I found some luck mats and pow mats in Ultimate. I started using them, and all of a sudden, they went grey. "?!No, NO,...NOOOOOOO!" The stats I needed to raise wouldn't do so, and the stats that had little benefit to me were high.

Try using 9 Luck Mats because you believed under the false pretense that they'd help your chances of finding rares. I did it so long ago that when I found out otherwise, I stopped using em. My FOmarl has 28 LCK because of this. Odd, I know. However, crits come in sometimes & that's always good. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Definitely learned that in planning one's char out, figure out what you really want/need to raise BEFORE using even a single mat. Well, Idk if high evasion is worth it for a Ranger. Did it work out for you? My HUcaseal has pretty high evasion for her lvl & it helps. Anything particularly silly or stupid happen for ya?

The implication there is that it was, in fact, a stupid thing to do, which I would have hoped would be obvious even to you, but I'll explain it to you like you're three anyway. Now, pay attention, junior.

RAmarls have the highest max EVP in PSO, which is about as useful as MST on a HUcast if you ask me, but bear with me for a moment. Now, their max is 900 even, but their L200 base is 798 - a 102 EVP gap. So, Evade mats give you 2 EVP a piece. Basically, even if you plan to max your EVP with mats, you should never need more than 51 Evade mats.

Thus making it Pretty Damn Stupid to use 98 Evade mates on a RAmarl.

On the top floor where you have to fight all those nearly-impossible-to-beat enemies, all of us died except for the HUcast. None of our Mags auto-Reversered us, so we were down. My stupid thing was picking up rare i did not have, and turning off system without saving. to add to that, I once started chatting with myself in single player, thinking i was talking to the npc. (real super noobish times then, died evry 2 seconds, something crazy like that).

We lost 2 levels and about 5 rares each. (Most of them were crap, though, such as PD's and box rares)

I think it is 50. I have done the same while transfering materials to new characters. Of course, I just had to hit the reset button and no harm was done.

I made my brother's Mag "disappear" http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I told him to drop his Mag, then I started droping Meseta 1 at a time, and told him that if I dropped enough, his mag would turn into a rare. He waited near the blue box on the ground surrounded by yellow boxes, and I told him to tell me when the colour changed. LOLZ After a minute or two, he was still watching the box then...

Hmm.. I had played for like 5 hours.. I had finished quite some quests and then I made a run through whole ep.1 so I killed almost all monsters of episode 1 and gained a lot of EXP, but I died by a stupid mistake at Dark Falz.. I got so mad that I turned off my gamecube because I had enough of it.. Then I realized I didn't save it because I turned it off just like that.. Now my level was a few levels lower and I had to do over these quests and my MAG lv was lower again..

hmm... i sold my Red Saber +72 by accident coz i was annoyed as i didn't find a hildetorr during that forest of sorrow run, and the very first time that a hildetorr dropped a frozen shooter, i pick it up, and mess about with it, then i get up AND PULL THE PLUG OUT WITH MY FOOT (stupid, I hate myself for doing that)
