At peak hours? And how does that compare to when the game was new?

Also, is there a way to get on the JP servers? If BB is anything like GC then there should be a ton of people on the JP ships.

A lot of people still play.
Peak hours depend on US or EU hours, since both regions use the same server. This is a difficult question to answer.
When the game was new, there were many people playing. However, this is irrelevant because a lot of people were playing to try it out and eventually dropped after 2-3 months.
There is no way to access JP servers using the English version of Blue Burst.

Usually you'll find around 400 - 600 people playing at peak playing times. Give or take 100.

Frederick I'm in the same position that you are. I quit playing GC once it got hacked over, and now since I can't play PSU I really want to get back into the online experience of PSO. I signed up for the free 14-day trial period. The game is not different really, but to be honest I still prefer the GC version. I have found that the online community for PC games tends to be not as friendly as GC was. If you are just looking for the same thing I am (another PSO online experience) I don't really suggest spending the $9/mo. online fee. I spent a few days on BB and their really weren't that many people online, it ended up me just soloing a ton, which you can just do on offline GC version.

Ulitimately it's your decision, so good luck and have fun if you decide to play http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
