I was wondering how specials like bind, freeze etc are reduced?

I know how if its a multi hit weapon it causes reduction but how does bind get reduced? does it give it less chance of hitting or does it bind for a less time?

I believe the chance of hitting is reduced, but I'm not exactly sure.

For weapons with odds, the odds are reduced, for leeching specials, the amount is reduced, for elemental specials, the power is reduced, for other specials, the accuracy is (greatly) reduced.

Double damage specials cannot be reduced.

What about when you're only targeting a single enemy with a multi-target weapon?. Is the reduction based on the number of targets or is there a base reduction, no matter how many targets?

Based om kef's post I would think it wouldn't matter if it was one enemy or 3, it'd still be reduced becuase of the weapon properties.

YEah, the weapon matters, not the number of monsters.

What's the precise amount of reduction from a specific weapon type? I understand that weapons that combo past 3, or weapons that strike multiple targets are reduced more due to the hitting advantage... but by how much? >_<

Daggers, Double Sabers, Paired Swords, Partisans, Swords, Launchers suffer from a 1/2 reduction.

Slicers, Shots, Mechguns suffer from a 1/3 reduction.

Another question just popped into my head, since some specials are reduced by class (I.e. androids and demons) if you get a weapon with unreduced demons does it still get reduced becuase of the class or does that reduction not matter anymore?

The class and weapon reductions apply separately, therefore they do "stack".
