...and why?

I've been up for 22 hours straight, I never seem to reach a full 24. This happened several times: Science ISU, French ISU, Civics ISU, Slept over at a friend's house who had a stack of games in his room http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif

36+ hours? Probably more when I was younger.

The time I'm talking about was friends sleeping over, we were outisde a lot of the night and just not tired, when morning came, we played some video games, then when they left, I just continued my day like normal, and since it was still a weekend, didn't go to bed til 2 or 3 in the morning.

http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif that's almost double what I did, and I was insanely tired whenever I was up late. I need my sleep http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I've done a little over 4 days straight when I was like 14 or 15. I did it just to see if I could really. I think I was 14 cus it was right when Final Fantasy III/VI came out for SNES. I stayed up for at least 2 days straght playing that, then just hung out with friends and what not and kept playing. After like the third day you pretty much start to hallusinate and confuse imagination with reality. It's pretty cool actually.

Nowadays I can still do like a good 36 hours with out a problem, as long as I'm doing something. I've worked 16 hours straight through, went home, showered, played starcraft then went back to work for another 12 hours before without a problem a few times. I just don't need sleep I guess. As I always say, I'll sleep when I'm dead.

around 35 hours or so. not a worldrecord by far.
i think it was ... a few cmode sessions in a row.

if i'd drink cappuccino at a 12 hour interval i could probably skip a night's sleep or two...

3 days. Wasn't related to videogaming at all, and it's not something I'm damn proud about.

42 hours with a friend. The fucker had a DVD pack of the 50 worst Sci-fi movies ever. OMG Santa Claus vs The Martians.

But we did it some how (mostly by waking each other up constantly then killing 4 hours riding across town).

I'm not sure actually, probably about 30 hours. Sleep-overs will do that, eh?

3 days. Not fun at all. Worst part is laying down to sleep after the whole ordeal and not being able to XD

I think I did 3-4 nights in a row, during the summer.

2 of which were "sleep"overs, and the others were because I didn't want to sleep. >.>

Hmmm..
I think it was back in sixth grade.

.. Or whatever year the Zelda Oracle games came out on GBC. I went for three and a half days without sleep just to play. Damn those were the days.

45 hours is the longest I've stayed awake.
Friday 5:00 AM-3:00 PM-Wake up and school
Friday/Saturday 7:00 PM-7:00 AM- Big LAN party, played Halo, Battlefield 1942, and DDR
Saturday 7:00 AM-5:00 PM Work
Sunday 2:00 AM- Bed

Who says you need to use drugs to get high? Just stay up really long and be very active, you get the same effects http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I'm a pushover compared to everyone else here.

About 2 months ago I hung out with my Rube Goldberg group. We had placed first in our school competetion, and decided to celebrate the night before we went to Navy Pier in Chicago for the state invite.

Anyways, I was awake for 25 hours, which really isn't long at all, but felt like forever to me.

Less than 24 hours, for sure. I can't think of any reason to stay awake for longer. Plus I get all dizzy when I'm really tired. ;o

done several 72+ (3 day) marathons, i'd consider it a beginner's start. i did 72+ hour marathons doing just 1 thing, let alone periods of lack of sleep. hey, you're young once, get your stupid shit out while you can.

so let's see, i've done some for sleepovers, others for video games (often at sleepovers), and others for multiple parties. and then there's the mix of parties, sleepovers, video games, and school projects/tests. hell, in high school it'd be common to have yourself and your classmates all hallucinating and giggly from sleep deprivation. sleepover video game marathon on a 3 day weekend turns into a stressful school week with major tests and projects and finally ends with a celebratory bender at some warehouse party with an afterparty god knows where. if you were lucky you'd get maybe an hour nap or two in the week, otherwise it was awake straight on through.

might i suggest to the youngins here though that what i did is not a good idea. well, at least don't do it all the time. i do suggest living a little and if that means losing your f***ing mind for a few days straight, then rock on babe. but, fyi, i've had bouts of exhaustion where i'd lose 2 whole weeks or more. just gone, y'know, just gone. y'know, 20+ hours of sleep a day for several days straight. your body, mind, or both just says, "enough! you collapse now!" do you know how awkward it is to finally recover and realize June was just a mere dream? not the best way to start a summer.

2-3 days straight, almost everyweekend about 3-4 years ago.
Me and about 4-5 of my friends would spend the night at my friend's house.
He had ALL the systems and his mom spoiled him so we'd rent a buncha games and movies and get hyped up on candy and pizza and just party the whole weekend.

Deltra

22 Hours here. Then I slept for two hours because I was bored. I could stay awake for 30 - 40 hours straight if I felt like it. Can't beat my friend though...he stayed awake for 75 hours+ over Spring Break. Apparently he did it just to get more time on video games.

I think the most I ever stayed up was 22 hours. That was back when I use to play Ragnarok Online. Me and my online friend tried to see how long we could play.(some pretty weird people play at night)

Only thing I can remember from that night was how the twilight looked. It was really pretty.

Other than that, I'm a wimp when it comes to staying up. I get drousy around 9 p.m.

I remember there was a kid at school that stayed up for 3 days and the teachers were concerned for his helf.

Also, has anyone noticed, that when you go outside at 3 a.m-5 a.m. It feels really weird. I dunno it just feels strange when you go outside at that time.

Three full days (72 hours) straight. After that, I force myself to go to bed, because I don't want to end up like someone in a Korean/Chinese cyber cafe, that plays a little too much StarCraft.

I know I've done at least 48 hours during sleepover gaming marathons but aside from that I really don't remember. It's nothing I've ever made a big deal about so I don't remember. I do however remember what we did those times, one was full of Man Hunt (outdoor games for great justice!) and Age of Empires II LAN games. The other we did hide and seek (you are never too old for that) followed by a SSBM marathon.

36+hours (field trip to Spain, left after school, then arrived in Madrid early to do a walking tour).
Just pulled 22 hours yesterday, startd work on the early shift, so I woke up at 3:30, and went to bed around 1 last night (and this was done after only 3 hours of sleep).

I'd say around 3 days once. Stayed up all night at my house playing games.....then staye dup all night at a friend's house playing games....then had to go to sleep around 6 the next day because I was starting to hallucinate too bad. I kept thinking people were talking to me on the car ride home....people who weren't in the car, like my friends, who weren't even there....so then I went home and to bed, heh.

I had a project to finish in grade nine or ten. I was awake from Thursday morning until the following monday evening. Worked on it with my sister, and finally handed it in monday during the day. Then I think I went home, flopped on the bed for half a second, and was out until morning. x.x
