I guess from all my whining you guys know how busy I've been in class the past few weeks. I just thought I'd show you one of the final projects I had to do. Its for my film language class, and deals with setting up shots and scenes to either feel subjective or objective, or just using artistic camera angles. We were to make a short sequence of 9-15 images for each type, telling the same basic story. Luckely my teacher is not an artist, so I have some leaway, here's what I came up with for the subjective and artistic series. The objective one is photos, and sucks too much to show.

Subjective

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/MSD3000/Film%20language/subjective08.jpg

Now to the artistic, which I started in the wee hours of the morning before it was due. Its kind of fun to watch as my mind completly throws whatever is tripping through it at the moment. Lack of sleep does wonders for the creative process. Remember, same basic story.

So, let me get this straight. The "subjective" series is supposed to be a more tranquil kind of camera control, the kind you might use for a more true-to-life scene, and the "artistic" series is for more dramatic shots?

Regardless, you gotta love the ultimate battle of good versus garbage. XD

Sorry I guess I didnt explain the different types very well. Let me clarify:
Objective point of view: makes the character's plight seem reletively insignifigant, using main wide shots and imagery that doesnt make them stand out over any other character
Subjective point of view: makes the character the main focus, uses lots of close-ups, and imagery to highten the audiences awareness of the character
Artistic view point: is using whatever crazy crap angles and imagery the film maker can think of to get his point accross, think Blare Witch
