I have recently been raising one from scratch... not really that strong, but still an awesomely fun character. I have been doing sort of a melee thing for now, because I don't have any good techs, and it works decently.

I'd suggest Holy Ray over Angel Harp on GC. G-Assassin Sabers are better than Double Saber early on, but if you do have a Double Saber with hit, pull that out in Ultimate. Oh, and try to get a Nidra, Sato, or Soniti. The Invulnerability they grant you is something that should not be shrugged off (despite my aesthetic choice for Rati on BB lol).

Yeah, they do. However, they shoot rifles at the same speed (or pretty close to) making this mostly useless since there are rifles with better stats than Inferno Bazooka.

I raised the Diwari becuase
1) it was an easy one to raise
2) it's S/D was a higher level than mine -_-
3) I had no Mylla & Youlla -_-

EDIT: OH YEAH, Challenge mode. I think FOmarl might be my second favourite force for challenge. They have the excellent S/D range boost like my FOmars (And I likes my FOmars in challenge), and they have the nice resta boost, for when my partners don't feel like running to me, and I feel lazy to run to them. Went through a rough patch... had planned on moving out, realizing my characters would still be on his Xbox, so I had restarted them, hooked up both xboxes and transferred my items. But things are fine now, so I get my own gamertag for at least the next year now, LOL.

I didn't really mind starting over, though. I messed up a lot of things on her before because I didn't know what I was doing.

I intend to use her for melee this time around, so I paid a lot more attention to material usage instead of just eating every mind mat I saw, LOL.

I did countless Addicting Food runs with her (300? probably more) hunting Lavis Cannon (no piping), I gave up after being stiffed by 70 Pouilly Slimes.
Online... I always found FOnewearl to be a much more efficient team supporter.

Shifta/deband? oh, fomarl is boosted.

And any equipment fonewearl can use for support boosts, fomarl can use as well.

So maybe a foney just goes into a room and uses JZ, then waits and only uses support techs. Ok, well fomarl can do the same thing. Perhaps foney will use some offensive techs in the meantime; all right, I can swing my agito around then. If someone needs sudden resta/anti and I'm in mid combo, I break it off. That may give foney a half second advantage. Fomarl can resta spam just as fast as a fonewearl can.

So except for a couple of rather small things, I just don't see how fonewearl is so much more efficient. If there are some great reasons that I'm just not seeing, then please, do share.
I can gladly acknowledge foney is better if there's some good reasons for it. To just generalize fonewearl > fomarl though, I don't buy it.

Ah, that explains it - 300+ AF runs is an obscene amount of exp. Still, I'd at least mess around with her once in a while if I had a character that high.

I think a Lv200 FOmarl's Resta heals for about 837? It's a good chunk of HP healed, but still not enough, especially for RAcast/caseal and some Hunters- hell, I play HUnewearl, and have well over 1400HP.

I'm pretty sure I've seen FOnewearls Resta for 1000+, which is a bit more handy.

Although, I will say a lot of being a FO depends on the player- I've seen a LOT of terrible FOnewearls, and a lot of amazing FOmarls.

The Resta argument is stupid. Casting Resta a second time during a battle takes only a fraction of a second (especially with V501), and it isn't like anyone would instantly die because of it. And that's only if the person gets to critical HP, which won't happen too often anyway.

I'm sure that one single example, or some kind of hypothetical situation that would never occur will be used to counter argue my point, though.

All right kef, I can see your point. I've never put melee above support, so I didn't think about it that way.
But...I don't think 200 ish hp resta difference is really that significant..Like skorp said, you can cast resta again rather quickly.
I guess that just goes down to opinion though.

I mean, by all logic, Resta boost should be more important. But since I'm using Resta more on myself, I'll get my teammates at the same time too. I find it more frustrating to recast S/D if I miss.

Uh, I'm a melee FOmar. With the only mind boosts are my mind mats and 4 Mind on my mag. BB FOmarls compliaining about weak Resta? They're dumb.

Fomls and Fonewearls are different classes, they play (should >_>) in different styles, FOmls melee (sadly) and Fonewearls tech (ignor those lame 100 100 0 100 vivi usings ones, they just bug me) but, generally both are sucesful classes.

FOne's resta better. The differnce is notiecable. But really, just play with the class you want.

Dont be one of the n00bs that picks the classes that are 'omg they pwn ima pick them' You get a little more credit for making your own choices.
