View Full Version : School SUCKS! (long, detailed rant here)

Now, before I begin this rant, there are a few things you may want to know about me and the school I go to.

Firstly, you'll learn very quickly that I can take a lot of shit from people and suck it up. People like me, who aren't exactly the most popular person among their peers, naturally are forced into this state of mind because of the abuse we get from the 'popular' people at school.

Secondly, you'll learn about my teacher. I will not display his name, because I don't want to get in shit (incase the people who go on this forum miraculously know my teacher and rat on me; it's for personal protection, despite the paranoia, buty ou understand, no?)

My teacher, for lack of a better description, is an ass. He has a very broad, very close-eyed (lack of a better term http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif) view of smart and stupid people, and the amount of effort people put towards their work. He will treat you like SHIT if you are stupid or lazy (<---I PHAIL @ MOTIVATION http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif), and treat you like a king if you do your work all the time (in other words, he tries to cheer up the people who have no social lives whatsoever [this doesn't apply to people who go on this board, because either you work your asses off, or you're very social]) Because I'm a very lazy person by genetics (Genetics always screw us over http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif), my teacher generally displays a negative attitute twoards me whenever I don't do my homework. (Another thing you may want to know is he assigns textbook work. Yes, scream in ph33r:TEXTBOOK WORK. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif)

So, that aside, allow me to explain how shitty my day was.

It all started around 11:19, which is 4 minutes after my lunch period starts. My second period class, Religion (I have a good teacher in that class. Thank God! [/irony] http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif) I have no beef whatsoever with anything in that class, except for one thing: THE LOCATION. My school decided to expand the school by using the upper floor of a building west of the school, ironically named "The West Wing" (Note: Nothing of judicial value happens there http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif) Many of my school's classes were re-located to the wing in order to make for less cluttered classrooms.

Enough about that, though; the point is, my teacher is a pretty nice guy. He usually lets his classes out early. However, the asses that are the staff are complaining that some simple-minded students who have been let out early (every class in the WW is let out early; this way, students aren't delayed from eating time and don't arrive late for class) are going into other classes and interrupting them. Therefore, the school has decided that the schools in the west wing aren't to be let out early from class. Which really inconviences me, because there is a big plaza near my school which has a lot of top-tier restaraunts (sp?) like Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizza-Pizza, and such, so competition to be first in line is very fierce. Now, earlier today, because yesterday was such a good day (The season finale of the Amazing Race ended up in the team I was rooting for winning the race http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) so she thought I deserved a bit of extra coin to buy Burger King. Because of the delayed time from getting there (I had to exit the wing, which meant I had to go down two flights of stairs, exit the building, and go back to the school, go to the OTHER end of the school to get to my locker, drop my books off, and go to the OTHER end of the school, in the direction of BK), the rest of my school had been able to catch up with me (I'm usually very quick when it comes to getting food http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif), which means I wasn't exactly first in line.

Worse yet, on my way, I was about to cross the street when some guy pulls out into the next lane to cut off this old guy who was driving really slowly, making me, as well as about 14 other people, wait for a WHILE (traffic was horrible http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif). Then, this guy in a really big truck thinks it's FUNNY to honk his extremely loud horn at us, and scare us all shitless.

That was HALF of my rant there. Now for the second half, which isn't as long.

After lunch, I proceeded angrily to my History class, which I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE (my teacher HAMMERS us with work; he'll give us a handout with 15 questions, all explainitory, and expect us to answer it, then he'll give us an extremely long, useless, redundant note, then he'll give us 15 questions of textbook work and expect us to do it all by tomorrow. THIS IS HIGH SCHOOL NOT UNIVERSITY! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif). The previous day, he had handed us some textbook work, which I didn't do (Because I'm lazy, and I feel I won't be able to swallow all the shit he's shoved down my throat http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Because HALF the class didn't do the work (I'm surrounded by idiots. Internet is my escape from that http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif), he decides to humiliate us by springing a pop quiz on us, and repeats the questions from the homework. Now, I didn't read the pages or do the work, because I feel the work is extremely pointless (None of it appears on the test we do. NONE OF IT. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif)

I feel that just because we didn't do the work doesn't give him the right to express his distaste by hammering us with embarrassment and humiliation. That is BULLSHIT. BULL FRIGGIN SHIT.

I almost felt like writing on the bottom of the paper, "Happy now? Happy that you've humiliated those who don't like to do drone work?"

Another thing you'll leard about me: I'll give you respect, if I recieve it in return. (AKA, I don't take shit from jack. Live it, learn it, love it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif)

End rant, comment here, blah blah blah.

I also have a tendency to lose pent-up rage by either taking it out on something (usually the normal Dragon on PSO, or a handicapped match in the lower area of Hyrule Temple on Super Smash Bros. Melee http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif) or telling someone. Never fails http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

huzzoi, a funny rant

meh, be happy you can even go places like that for lunch. There are none even around my place, naturally school supplied food is SHIT, translation: I don't eat lunch anymore.

as for the workaholic teachers, yeah, they are a pain in the ass. But my memory normally allows me to ignore nearly all work and still ace a test. It is such a great feeling when you do none of the work, the teacher says your gonna be stupid for it, and then you show em up by acing a test some of the best workers can't even understand XD. Happens a lot in my math classes :/ The last few weeks of school she just decided she couldn't win and never fought me. And, since math classes have 90% test 10% work point ratios, I pass the class with a big juicy A. Huzzah!

Unfortunately if the answers are never even taught for a test, and you don't have a really good memory for textbook stuff, your screwed >_>

There's always the thumb tack on the chair I suppose http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Lunch breaks are never nice. It's worse in your case since your so far away from it. Why dont you just keep your religion books with you and leave the history textbook in your locker? (If you don't plan on doing the work anyway, why bring the book?) This way, you can just go straight to lunch.

Is it too late to get a transfer from that class to another history class?

Yes, it's too late to switch classes. I wish it wasn't, though. :

As for your theory, I'm not going to embarrass myself by not bringing my books, because I don't want to be called out by my teacher. He'll never let me hear the end of it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

All I took away from that rant is that you're lazy, don't do your homework and don't like the fact that teachers don't like that.

I don't like your view that people who do their homework have no social life. That's complete bullshit, I can do both comfortably.
