Why is it that...

a badguy loses their badassery when they turn good? They just really start sucking all of a sudden. This is something I've noticed over the years, and, unfortunately, I can cite only a few examples (I'm allowed to forget stuff), which probably hurts the credibility of my bordering-on-rant, but, I can't be the only one who's noticed this--or at least, I hope not--so maybe you guys can name a few. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I can name two, but whether anybody knows what the heck it is I'm talking about, it all seems kinda pointless. -.-;

1) Digimon (Zero):

-This one time, when Gatomon was evil, she totally kicked all and I mean all of the digidestined's digimon arses at once, all by her lonesome, with no effort whatsoever.

2) Bleach

-Kisuke's modified soul dolls. Even tbough, they were only meant to test Ichigo and company's skills, they had those suckas on a leash, and there was absolutely nothing they could do about it (save for complying with the dolls' with anything the dolls commanded http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif).

Now, look what they've been reduced to: they couldn't even figure out how to get back into their usual bodies! I know it was meant to be funny (and I did giggle a bit) but, it's pathetic! For shame. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif

I know it's a plot device, so the regular good guys don't look like total pansies, but, that kind of inconsistency bothers me something fierce. ò.ó

when bad they don't care what they do to do it and will do it by any means but when they turn to the side of good their powers are nerfed like Vegita or other characters that turn to the hero sided.

I think this is because largely we like bad-guys for their firm resolve... And when they turn good-This resolve totally breaks... Leaving our level of respect for the person lower than it was before...

At least this is my view (in the fewest words possible)...

Haha, oh wow. When I first clicked on this topic and read the first few sentences, I thought to myself, "I remember some badguy in Digimon who turned good and became a total wussy." It was that kid from the beginning of the second season, where all the original kids were a little older and Goggles Guy's little brother was the main guy. Ah... I forget the evil kid's name, but he had a worm for a Digimon. Man, that guy turned into a pansy.

Thats mostly because its horrible, Horrible filler. Please, PLEASE get back to the Bleach story proper, im really sick of Bountou.

Otherwise, I dont know. Maybe they just dont have to try so hard anymore as they know the Hero will do the work for them and they just kinda take it easy.

I know who your talking about. He had blue spikey hair when he was evil and he use to whip and abuse all the digimon and stuff. He also used those tall black monuments to control the digimon.

He was badass but then he turned all good and his spikey hair went away and he went along with that "Friendship prevails" mentality. (pssshtt)

Yeah! His voice was really hilarious, and he always used to slap his digimon around. I think the episode where he turned good was when he smacked his digimon in the face and it turned into some big praying mantis or something. Man, I know exactly what he looked like, but I can't remember his name! Haha, gah. This is gonna bother me all day.

Yes, I also remember Torou(can't spell his name) from Jackie Chan Adventures turning all good. He was cool as an evil person but once he turned good he was reduced as the token "Big Dumb Oath" type of character.

Man, it's just so sad how kickass that show used to be. Now, it's just fillers, fillers, fillers, and they've gotten really lazy with the animation and dialogue--it's all gone to hell, man!! ;-; IT's a long enough series, already!! It doesn't need fillers! ò.ó

True, it's just a filler for the series. When it catches back up to the original Manga storyline, them and the bountou will be a thing of the past.
