Maximum Attacks are special online-only events that have been happening since the early days of DC PSO. A Maximum Attack even usually features a killing quest with several hundred enemies and a reward quest. Generally, the idea is to keep playing the killing quest over to increase your kill count. That kill count usually goes toward a cumulative kill count. As the cumulative kill count increases, certain bonuses such as increased drop rates are released. The final milestone is usually something big like the formal release of Ultimate Mode. There are also mini-milestones along the way and the players that achieve them receive prizes. A Maximum Attack event usually lasts for about a month.
