Stupid Memory card.

I corrupted and DELETED my main charcter. STUPID MAD-CATZ Memory card... It just deleted my characters...

Yeah, I think everyone has been through corruptioin. The best thing you can do to avoid it is to stick to official products like Rena-ko said. :3

my memory card got corrupted a week or so ago. it had almost all my favorite games on it. I cant tell you what kind it was due to that fact that its now in about a million bits in a garbage dump somewhere.

If u guys would spend the extra 5 bucks or so and buy a first party(nintendo) memorycard u would not have any problems. I have three memorycards made by nintendo with PSO on them and they have not been corrupted yet. And i have had these memorycards sine the Gamecube first came out. I have never had a corrupted memorycard because i only buy first party cards which are more reliable than companies like Madcatz.

He is right it has noting to do with sega it is the crappy memorycards u guys choose to buy like MADCATZ. if u don't want to lose your characters my advice to u is to buy a first party memorycard.

i beg to differ one the whole official is better. I have a Nintendo GC Memory card that has coruppted on me at least five times. Meanwhile, I have a Pelican 16x GC memory card that has only corupted data once and it was my fault. Then again, Pelican is not MadCatz. I've gone through at least 8 controllers for my gc, four of which are official, and whose sticks screw up from time to time. Three were MadCatz, same deal. One is a Pelican brand controller with turbo and 16ft extension chord, owned it for several years now, never had a problem with it.

MadCatz sucks, not all generic brands do. Furthermore, just because it's official doesn't mean it's going to work over smoothly either. As per X-box data, that can actually get corrupted, it's just you have to either do it on purpose or have played your X-box enough to get wear and tear. It is however, signifigantly less likely to happen, I'm just saying it can.

Nintendo brand memorycards are SUPPOSED TO BE MORE RELIABLE than other companies like madcatz but like Sord said he had a good Pelican memorycard and a bad nintendo one. It depends on how u treat the memorycard too though. I have all nintendo memorycards along with all my friends and none of them have been corrupted. Come to think of it i never even knew a memorycard could get corrupted until i started my account at psoworld.com. But i guess there could be some exceptions like Sord's nintendo memorycard got corrupted but honestly he is the first person i have ever talked to who had a corrupted NINTENDO memorycard but i do believe u Sord.
