Wow, the trailer looks awesome. I had my doubts about the third film, but im now getting pretty excited.

The effects for the symbiote that was seen crawling up Peters arm was pretty cool, and the Sandman doesnt look too bad either. I also liked how classic scenes seem to have made their way into the movie, such as the scene in the belltower.

Im hoping that this film will only be setting up Venom as a villain for the forth film, as three villains in the movie could get too busy (Batman and Robin).

Ya, that's my doubt too. THe trailer looks awesome, but trailers can be deciving. I mean, the last two movies only used 1 villan, now BAM! THey uped it to 3! I just hope they can pull it off without it being too jumbled, if you understand what I mean.

I spent a little pausing parts of the trailer, and getting shots of the new Goblin/Glider whatever dude. (Honestly, I don't know how everyone is referring to him.) >_>;;

The top is a random flying scene, and the bottom is just before the scene where he crashes into the side of a building. Note, he doesn't have his mask on, and this was the best I could get of his face.

I wouldn't doubt that they wouldn't use a mask for GG2. The fact that the face couldn't move for the villian in the first movie took alot away from a villian who could have been much more.

I'm thinking they're setting up for the Sinister six. I mean the Green Goblin has already been introduced (which later leads to the appearance of the Hobgoblin), so has Doc Ock, Sandman is on they way as is Venom, and now all we're missing is Mysterio and Electro. At least it's a possiblity anyway.

But I'm VERY excited for the Alien Symbiote, becuase that pretty much garauntees Venom either in this movie or in #4. Also, if they put Venom in, they'd eventually have to add Carnage as well, else disappoint throngs of devoted Marvel fans.

I am very impressed by the Spider Man 3 Trailor.

I'm also very annoyed at the fact that I/we have to wait untill May 2007 for this movie to come out. I thought they didn't release movie trailors of this sort untill a Movie was almost finished.

I may be close to being finished. At least portions of the movie. I saw a portion of the teaser on tv. Wow. Wow. And Wow again. I'm downloading it as we speak so my wife can watch it when she gets home.

Also, we shouldn't assume that Venom is an alien. It very well could be nano tech w/some AI. You have to remember, that as far fetched as some of the characters in Marvel movies are, the reality quotiet is pretty high.

I havn't kept up with the series exactly, but I've always loved spiderman as a child. That's about as close to reality as you can go, second to batman. Batman's just some rich dude. Any rich dude can be batman irl. Spiderman's a bit closer to reality. Yes, he's trying to split lives and such, but it doesn't go as far as xmen, where half the population are mutants.

Oh well. As for the movies.. Goblin would definetly be there, as hinted in the second film. I'm just wondering how they would juggle three villains, seeing as Venom and Sandman are both shown in the posted trailer. But nobody cares about the Sandman anyway. Well, not here, anyway. Sandman's own series was fucking amazing.

Actually, he's half alien. Alien Symbiote + Eddie Brock = Venom. Since the word "alien" is in the name "Alien Symbiote" it's safe to assume that some alien aspect is in the film.

I guess I am the only one who thought Venom was a horrible character (and he soon spawned countless clones) and could do without seeing him in any film. I am more anxious about how they are going to work the Emo-Spidey routine and how Sandman is gunna sex up the screen.

Im not too big a fan of Venom and really felt he should have been left to a much later movie. Bringing him in now is really just to appease all the fans of the Symbiote. I wouldn't discredit the possibility of having the Jameson-symbiote plot implemented into Spidey3...after all they already introduced mr. astronaut in #2.

Silver Surfer is apparently going to be in Fantastic Four 2, so we may see Galactus in all his fearsome, pink armoured glory there.

Would be pretty wierd though, I dont know how seriously you would be able to take a hulking, planet eating space giant in a film like that. It would be pretty surreal. I wonder if they would make him less humanoid?

I know what Venom is. I read a ton of Spider-Man's comics fromthe late 80's through earliy 90's. What I meant was that we shouldn't assume that Sam will have him be an alien symbiote in the movie. After all, in the comics Parker uses web cartriges and in the movie he generates his own naturally. Sam has not taken the source material and thrown it directly on screen. Some things are different in the flicks, so we shouldn't assume that this will make the leap from the comic pages onto the film reels. It may, but like I said, the Spider-Man movies have a definate realness and believability to them that to insert an alien into the mix would discredit a good portion of the reality that has been established.

I know, I was disappointed too http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif It's been discussed by the peeps here, and the general concensus is that the Spidey films are going down the more "realistic" road....so the original comicbook renditions of Venom may be a bit extreme for the silver screen. I can't imagine what other options would be open to Sam Raimi if he decided to opt for a more "believable" venom costume. I hope it doesn't get too toned-down :-

Although I don't actually read the comics (My brother won't let me http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif), what I did read of the Ultimate Storyline of Spiderman I thought was really cool. Wasn't Venom in the Ultimate supposed to be a cure of cancer? I personally prefer that over the alien thing.

I know my brother didn't like the symbiote thing in Spiderman 3 trailer, only because it showed all the lines, but I thought it was pretty good
