How the heck? My brother just took a run through the Ultimate Ruins.... and he found a Gods Shield Byakko! I have no clue how this happened. We're offliners, too. It's not on the drop charts, is it? This is very strange...... I mean it's the worst challenge mode prize for EP2, but seriously, I didn't know it was FINDABLE! I think it should be added to the drop charts! anyway, the gamedisk must have some serious scratch which got readerror-corrected into a non-original droptable for the particular stage you were in. chance for that to happen and not to glitch out at some point? prolly 1:infinite.
call yourself lucky, i guess. but dont expect anyone to believe you unless you have a video filming both your cube's setup, you playing from where you bootup the cube until you kill that particular enemy which drops the shield. *shrugs*

Well he immediately called me up when it just dropped. It could be a glitch. There will never be anyway of knowing for sure. You would need video evidence to backup your claims. After all, the data on the disc says that shield cannot drop in Ruins in a normal environment.

This is dumb, it's not cheating. Just because my game was possibly glitched a bit by unknown means (and it's NOT AR) my thread gets moved to the Cheaters board? OMFG1111 I'm totally serious. he would never cheat and he doesn't even know what an AR is and he is Notary Public so he never lies and is always truthful. Also he found the Parasitic Gene Flow in a box in Normal Forest. What would cause this? Is his game "GLITCHED"? Gee, I really wish I knew how to take video of it or else I would prove it to you guys. Honestly!!!!!

BTW since game "glitches" can explain all manner of IMPOSSIBLE happenings, I think my game glitched and caused me to have a headache last night. I mean seriously, it's a "glitch" which apparently to some people means that anything can happen even if it falls outside of the parameters of the game and couldn't ever, EVER happen in a trillion years because even if the game did glitch (which is possible but....) the way in which it would have to glitch for those drops to be possible without some type of cheat would mean that the disk itself somehow recoded the info on a closed session burned GOD (Gamecube Optical Disk.) Basically it would have to have skipped to a completely different section ID (which will freeze your game) then it would have to replace the drop of that enemy with an item that can't be found meaning it would have to search the disk for that item since it would not be found in the droprates for that particular section ID or difficulty. So after somehow magically finding the code for the shield (outside of the dropcharts mind you) it then decided to code a droprate for that item (because it has none on it's own.)

Palrappy, the glitch you talked about are untrue, because under normal circumstances, rares do not drop outside of their set parameters.

The game has been out for many years now. Any rare that dropped is known. People have looked into the game's data & confirmed the rates & many other things. Things like rares & drop rates are pretty written in stone. There is no way to change them, unless it's something from outside to modify them. That is not under normal situations. Your bro's drop is not under normal circumstances!

This topic isn't going to get better, so it's closed before it gets worse.
