PSU Japanese, any english?

I know most of you will not know this and I guess once the PS2 beta comes out we will.

But does anyone know if the Japenese version will have english subtitles? The wait is killing me and I would like to get it on import next month, BUT if we can't use our characters from the Japanese version on the NA one (which is pretty much a cert) and the story is all in Japanese then I don't think there is any point.

i strongly doubt the jp ver of psu will have eng subs, or an eng option for anything else.

ya they are very merciless with language.

the only english thing you'll probably see is the option to use english letters for your created character's name.

and the option to type in english. that's about it.

If I remember correctly, unlike the original DC PSO Beta/trial which had the language option, the PSU Beta was all JP with no GUI translation available.
One can only assume the same of the retail release.

Actually the JPN Beta for Gamecube in the Ep 1&2 days was completely in Japanese but its JPN retail had multi-language options http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif I know since I imported XD and honestly I never got the US version because of that lol Anyways for PSU, its a completely new story. Ever since Ep1&2 on GC, all other games have been JPN. Ep3 was Japanese only, and so was Blue Burst. One would assume PSU will follow the same fate.

Only 'hope' we have is that in one E3 movie there was English subtitles with Japanese audio. Episode 3 beta had a broken english option...

I doubt the JP version will have an English option on it. The servers are seperated after all so there is no real need for multiple languages on the JP servers (at least from Sonic Team's point of view).

Case in point: all PSOs were multi-language, except for Blue Burst (which had seperated servers!). JP servers have Japanese only, unless you patch the files to get English item names and stuff. US/International (whatever you want to call them) servers had English only.

i think psu doesnt even have word select wich tells me the servers were never meant to be linked. wich also tells me more than likely when psu was first showed in egm it was very early in its development cycle.
