GC: Pouilly Slimes me

Here's a quick question regarding Pouilly Slime drop rates. I've been piping in Ult (w/Skyly) for a Demo Comet, and I haven't gotten anything. When you split slimes, the duplicates give 0 exp and never drop anytyhing when they die...so if the Rare Slime is a split, would that make it's drop rate obsolete? Because I've piped 4 of em, and they've all dropped nothing...not even meseta. Does the Pouilly have to be the original?

It's important that while splitting, no slime is killed. If any of them is killed, the item (rare or not) is dropped & lost (marked as dropped already). Splitting them again won't get ya anything. It's best to restart the area/quest/whatever. ;]

This is bad news....

I have never killed any of them, it's always the duplicates who do each other in with the tentacle attacks. Thank you that realllly helps...probably saved me a few more days of piping.

Well, they can kill each other with the tentacles. That's something you wanna prevent, because it means your drop for the slime is lost.

personally i dont like the 2 slime spawn, its too much work, i stick to one and splitting to 4, then pipe, come back, and do the same, it only took me aout 20 pipes till i got the red one anyway, thanks for god/power http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

When i killed one i got a cure/paralysis, which was good for me!, as i went on to very hard mode into cave i could never get paralized from the plants which was alot easier http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

to me poilly aren't worth the rate because they take ags to split and pipe and stuff

Ages my butt. Addicting Foods, Cave 2, the 2 slime room. Just stand between them, Rabarta, let them move to the other side, Rabarta. If red, kill. If no red, pipe. ZOMG THAT TOOK FOREVER.

It's a little harder with 'droids though. Stand just outside of their movement range but at an equal distance from the two. They'll rise up in the same spot right in front of you. Use an untekked sword or partisan to split them. Run away so they'll group up again. Split again.

Well that's certainly more conventional than using an untekked handgun -_-. I've gone through five slimes and still nothing, yay! I think I'll try Grumbly's tactic as it takes an average of 3 hours using mine http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_redface.gif.

I'm trying to freeze them right now and I'm not getting a red one worth crap...I want my double saber though...Sighs...oh well tell ya about it when I find on or give up...

EDIT: I have a question...the fact that my Rabarta is freezing them...does that have any factor in finding a red one or losing the drop?
