Birthdate?

I know this is stupid since it is already in my sig but I was curious as to why I can't set my birth date properly. Sorry if this is in a wrong section I didn't know where else to put it. Also I have seen other people with 1990 in their dates so what did I do wrong?

I think maybe I forgot to check the 13 or older box? but still seeing as how 1989 is the oldest thats a 17 year max difference to 2006, no? but if your going on an age limitation (excluding thirteen) shouldn't it be 18?
