Am I doing something wrong?

I play offline, and i have been searching for rare twin swords forever. My section i.d. is viridia, and I have looked at all the drop charts on this amazing site. I found out that the weapon yamato has a 1/16 drop rate on the very hard dragon, and i must have kiulled him like 30 times and i havent got anything but monomates and star atomizers. Can someone tell me if i should look somewhere else, or how to find it?

Drops have rates, but the rates are random. It might be 1/6, but you might find it on a first try, 4th try or 100th try. It's not absolute.

Make sure you aren't doing anything that stops rare drops then just try again.

Stacking your items, meaning, Monomate x34, or any item which exceeds the 10 limit.

I also believe Mags over level 200 affect drop rates.

I had this same problem too when i was looking for the same weapon. Unfortunately it randomly drops so you cant be sure when your going to find it. Just make sure you dont have a hacked mag that has an abnormal level past 200 and no stacked items. You'll find it soon enough http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

my mag is lvl 200, and i dont even know how to get more than 10 of one item, i will equip my lvl 9x mag, maybe that will help

if you have a level 200 mag it is fine, it is only when you have one that is beyond level 200 that rare drops are disabled, and it does not matter what level mag you have equipped. as long as it is legit, then you have the same chance no matter what level the mag is.

it took me 42 kills to get musashi, then took 4 kills to get yamato, it is tottally random

Don't worry, It took me 41 Kills for the Yamato (Yes, I suck) And it took me 78 Kills for the Holy Ray. But it took me my 8th GilChic to get a S-Parts 2.01. The Drop Rates are random.

In response to the first post, that's how I feel when I play, 'cause I only play offline too. I had the same problem with a few rares, such as Stag Cutlery. I hunted with my Yellowboze for ages, but couldn't find one. Then, my first few runs on Ult Forest with my Hucast, id Pinkal on Fake in Yellow, I find 3 on the same run, 2 appearing in the same area. Man I hate how random it is. I'm currently trying to find Dark Belra's Arm. Life will be so much sweeter when I find it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif


P.S With my Yellowboze Hunter I think it was in very hard, I did the Forest, Caves and Mines without quitting, and got a rare from all the bosses, just to show how random it is. I thought the game loved me that day.
