which rare monsters and how many have you seen since you started pso?

Mil lilly is probably one of the most rarest of the 'rare' enemy types out there... The times i have spent looking for them and failed, but overall i have seen about 30+. Thats from piping.

I've seen two Mil Lillys but no hildetorrs http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I guess it just depends on how much you play the caves or forest etc. and the more time you spend the more chances you get to see a rare enemy there.

Mil Lillies pop up pretty often for me,but I've only seen one Hildetorr,and he killed me with his killer breath(Megid).

All rare monsters have the same rate: 1/512. Or so I've heard.

The problem is, some spawn much more frequently than others. Mil Lillies are by far the easiest because you can get 9 in a single room during the Waterfall Tears Quest. Hildes/Slimes are the most annoying because you find so few Hildes and you have to take the extra time to split the slimes. So one type isn't really more rare than the rest, some enemies just spawn more commonly.

al rappy - 0
love rappy - 1
mil lilly - 4

as u see the lilly are by far the most common for me but that may b because i cant b bother tryin to pipe mokeys when u can only get 4 at most. rapps aint bad on epiode 1 as u can get 8. episode 2 i aint ever gonna do since 3 is the highest i can get. etc etc

1/512 for every rare monster in PSO. Kondrieu, the Episode 4 rare boss is assumed to be 1/10.

Mil Lily is generally a common one though, since Ob Lilies are so common throughout Cave/Temple. It should however be noted that it's appearance rate is still 1/512, it's just that you get more Lily spawns than say, Hildelt.

I really think there should be more added to the general stickies, there's been a hell of a lot of repeat topics lately.

For some reason my friend finds Mills like crazy. He's got a stack of Aura Fields. Also, seeing a 'Torr made our jaws hit the floor. There was a moment of "WTF is that..?" then as it was jumping we both yell "TORR!!" and franicly slaugther the thing before it could think.

I've seen quite a few, but not enough, if you know what I mean, but I have seen all the rare monsters, the most prob the red plants and the rappies, 'cept in Episode 2. The very first rare in Ep 2 I saw was Hildeblue on my first run. I thought they were exclusive to Ep 2. Man how wrong I was. That's probably because their standard form, the Ob Lilly, spawns most commonly out of all the potential rare monster candidates.

I have seen them all for offline only. While I was doing Temple and Cave runs, I saw two Mil Lilies. That happened to me in both places! I was really lucky. lol i didnt bother for mill lilly on my virdia, i could have got god/power from mill lilly, mind you i was level 56 and ult caves was way too hard.

i found a nar today and finally got my hero abilty ,i was well happy. but i am really afraid of doing cave for mils cos i always get medgided and i can never find hildetorrs. any tips for finding ils without dying

find an armor and barier with good EDK bonus, use some resist/devil or any support item with good dark resistance, watch EVERY lilly, the moment you see their mouth start to foam or what ever move to the side so they will miss, if you can dodge well enough you wont need any EDK def at all, use a handgun to fire at the lillys from long range so they wont paralise you.

To PSOPRINCE: When I was Mil Lily hunting, I had a Resist/Devil and two Super/Resists with Guardian Armor and my EDK was 46 I believe. About 80-90% of the time I blocked Megid. It's all about the EDK. Also, when you get to the 9 Ob Lily room, set up a pipe in the front right corner of the room (front right from the view from the previous room). Then run around as the megids fly past you. After you've set off all the traps and made all 9 Ob Lillies appear, go back into the pipe. When you return, reposition yourself in your newly set pipe so you can see all 9 fairly well and go through again. From there, pipe away.

As said, EDK is what matters on Megid attacks. Ob Lilies have lv20 or so if I remember correctly. Mil Lily is a slight higher. So at least 73 or so EDK will get you to block it anytime so you won't have to worry about Megid any longer.

i hate looking for 'torrs and slimes. but i've seen plenty of all rare enemies. TONS of mils. my purplenum has seen 7 mils, 4 loves, and 1 torr since i started my ya-yas hunt.

Many people say rare monster percentages change based on beat time. Is there any truth to that. I can never find a Pouilly Slime (for a Lavis Cannon) but my friend who pipes at 11 am get them all the time.

I've read posts saying it's not true, but when I did FIY quest with my Pinkal ID in Ultimate, about 8-10am PAL version (dunno what the beats were) I got a ton of stag cutlerys. Now I'm sick of finding them, while my yellowboze hasn't found any yet. That beats thing could be true, 'cause when I do runs or pipe in FIY quest in the mornings, I see more Pal Rappies than at any other time. I dunno though.
As for Hildertorrs, I hate looking for them. When I piped for one and it appeared, I got a Diska. Then I wasn't bothered, one appeared and dropped a Frozen Shooter (yay http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif ). Then I piped 2 for 4 hours in Ep 2 to get a Berdysh.

I've never believed in the whole beats thing relating to rare drop percentages because of the potential to limit finds for people who could only play at specific times of the day for whatever reason. That and the assumption that those who got into the code to pull out the drop rates for various rares would have found something in the code that linked that drop rate to a call for beat time and factor it in. Missing such a call in the code is possible maybe. There are supporters of the beats theory even still. I've had my runs and droughts, but nothing over the years that convinced me to play at a certain time etc for a specific thing. Doesnt mean its not true, I'm just really skeptical about it.

The drop rate wouldn't change but enemy apperance rate would which wouldn't be grouped with drop rates. Plus anybody can change their GC clock to make it what ever time of day they want. Also it is every 500 beats so there is a time that people could play at. So Pouilly Slime might be at 11am and 11pm considering I found one today between 11-11:30pm online.
