I guess they'll have a trading system like how PSO Ep1&2 was where you had a trading window to trade items in stead of droping the items on the ground like you had to on PSO V1 and V2

If you look at the Player Menu Lobby Translations guide, you'll see there is a system for trading items while you are in the lobby:

the ONLY time you have the ability to drop items on the floor is in a battle field. anywhere else and you have no choice but to use the trade window.

based on that link Ryna provided us with.. what is a "Black List"? I'm assuming it's a sort of way to block people you don't like?

let me know.

Theres a blacklist in FFXI too.. its jus the opposite of a buddy list... but yeah, you add the person to the blacklist and it basically blocks them from contacting you ^_^

When you blacklist someone, they cannot send you mails and you will never see their chat balloons. Also, you cannot job a team that has a blacklisted member on it.

That sounds like a great feature. However, I think we should all agree not to black list everyone in sight, XD. That way, we can actually join a group, http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I wonder if these bans go by character or account

DizzyDi
Jul 12, 2006, 03:48 PM
Hopefully by character, so that way people that share accounts among friends or family members won't be screwed over cause the person they're sharing with is an ass. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

That's right. I saw that happen to a couple of people. They thought there was a serious team-joining bug. As it turned out, they had inadvertently blacklisted some of the members of that team.

However, I wonder if it's possible to delete someone from your black list...you never know, someone could turn over a new leaf, http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Yeah, you can remove people from the Black List. The Black List can be managed under the Options Area of the Function Menus:

Whats cool about the whole thing is that even if some idiots manage to figure out ways to hack and dupe, or whatever, all it takes is a quick block to keep my gameplay legit http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif w00t!*

^ That is of course until said idiots also cracks the blacklist blocking.

*sigh*

Mmmm.....way to keep it optimistic http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Nontheless, I dont see someone hacking that before they head after rares, money, and whatever else those idiots want.

that could work against you as well if that happened.

people could secretly blacklist you, you try to join a friends team they are in, and you can never join them. and you would be confused. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Your teammates might, though.

Joe can't join? Check your connection, guys.
*10 minutes pass*
Wait, does anyone have joe blacklisted?

Well it could be used as a tool to block cheaters as well. If a player is known to cheat. Spread the word, have bunch of people blacklist and awww he can't get in a room with other players. But of course they could always make their own room...

Kasuke
Jul 16, 2006, 08:47 PM
and no one would join it because he's a cheater. So what if like, I'm in a team with someone at the time I black list them? Would it kick them or me? maybe both?

Probably neither. Just all games afterwards that hes in you won't be able to get into and vice versa.
