Okay, if you have the URL for HL purchasing and know the final price, please email me...

First straight answer gets their License for free (I will buy it for you!)! Thank you!

First fee is $50 for a years service. After the first year it is about $10 a month. No URL is required as it is direct from X-box LIVE and is set-up in afew steps on your X-box.

...I'm going to hold you to your promise, you did'nt say GC or X-box version.. I demand an X-box LIVE kit for my answer.

...Well it does say Gamecube in the title...

Well, it's $8.95 a month for the US version. You will need the persons username and password in order to buy their HL for them. I don't know of a link to do it on a PC, I only know that you can do it through the game itself.

.....SSSHHHHHHH o_0

Thanks..you're really improving my chances here.

Buying HL for the GC will prolly be more stream-lined than before. The website was like an extra step. And half the time it did'nt work. I'd sign up on the DC only to get messages like "You already have a HL, please wait until your current HL runs out". However, everytime I signed up while on the comp, it worked. O_o

yeah, what rbf said. Once you load up the game, there is an option to go online and purchase a HL. As of now, you can only purchase it through the GC modem.

I remember buying the one for v2 was easier when I used my DC, everytime I tried to use my PC, it didn't work :/.

Is it so hard to wait 4 more days and check it out yourself?

Im so furking excited, went to EB today, tons of modems, they are not even trying to get rid of them. Lol.

But on topic, I bet the first day its gonna be rough getting a HL, with all the rush.

If it is anything like the import you will have to purchase the HL through your gc. Under the option menu you select purchase hunter license and it takes you to the registration site.

Well, the link must take you to a URL (I think)

Anyway, if someone can figure it out please email me, thanks!

Regarding your web site, psoexplorer.com, why is your main logo a Hunter from Ragnarok? Wrong game...

Anyways...when the game comes out, can someone see if there is a url in the manual, or write down the url the game takes you to for HL purchasing. I'd appreciate it, that way I can help people get a HL for GCN w/ no credit card. I've been doing this for over a year with the Dreamcast version and have a very solid network up. I think we are only going to surcharge a dollar or two.

I personally will not be playing the Gamecube version, so I will not have the game this time around(that's why I'm asking).

Thanks again.

Kate

Also, I'm not sure why there are mean posters on this thread....I helped hundreds of people get online with no credit card...You should be thankful that we take this risk...!

Yeah..guys, she did say GameCube. Hopefully it will be a little easier to purchase than the DC version was....which you could only get from your actual dreamcast, but common sense tells me that you will only be able to buy it from the GameCube Modem. About the actual price, a friend of mine is playing the import and has told me that you make begin with a 30-day free trial before needing to purchase a Hunter's Liscence, which is $10 a month. This totally sucks, and I really don't see why Sega had to up the ante - I thought that $5 a month/$15 per 3 months was a great deal, but after they learned of the huge increase of PSO players for the GC, I bet they upped it just to get more money. I dunno...but it'll be a tough time for me to get the money, but I'm willing to do it. After all - it IS Phantasy Star Online!!! ^.~V

um. i'm playing the import, it has a 30 day free trial then it's either 600 yen for a month or 1500 yen for 3 months and last time i checked 1500 yen was around $12 for 3 months a lot less than the $10 a month your stating.

However the US charge is $8.95 for one month of online time which compared to import is like double the price.

Well geez...I dunno, I was just going by what my friend told me. *sigh* Go me for being such a bad guy. -.-;; Maybe I was wrong, but from what I understand, the US version will be $10 a month.

hey, i have an xbox live kit... and there is no price listed for the renewal, but it does mention that it is a YEARLY renewal, not a monthly one... so i would surmise that the yearly renewal rate would be $50 again... or about $4/mo...

Urk, conflicts. I've only been hearing that LIVE was $50 for the first year and then after the first year it was a month ordeal of $10. I won't dispute which is right, because I'm not on the LIVE beta. It might even change upon release.

OK, the GC pricing. For the US version, is it $8 a month or $10 a month?

Guys, hello!?!? She asked for the GAMECUBE price if you read the subject, not for the XBOX one. Sheez... *giggles a bit* Wow...I'm rarely that harsh 0.0

Well, maybe someone can answer this:

When you buy the HL with your gamecube, can you buy multiple ones (using different Serials/access keys) or do they only let you buy one per console (Serial specific to that console only)

If so, a lot of people are going to be stuck offline...

Okay Darhwufei was nice enough to forward me the URL:

Things I noticed:

++ It's now subscription based...meaning they automatically renew you every month and charge your Credit Card.

++ You get the first month free - Confirmed (you may have to commit to a certain plan first)

++ You can buy with a PC:

Thanks Darth Wufei...I'll buy you a license at launch! Thanks again!!

It's obvious ABDUR cant wait for the XBOX version, there's no problem with that, but as far as the per month Hunter's Lisence goes forthe Gamecube, it's going to be $8.95 per month, in which Alena states $10.00 per month makes complete sense. And hopefully purchasing an HL wont be a huge pain like it was on the DC. Remember this "You already have a hunters lisence, come back when it expires." Lol, the horror!
