Just thought everybody would like to know that you can buy a HL with a debit card. I know there were problems with that back in V2.


Before using debit card.

Which name-brand or bank named card did you use?
Only certain ones worked on v2 for HL purchasing.

I want to know so when I set up a checking account, I know which debit card to get.

Bank of America.

With the Visa logo on it.

If it has Visa on it, it should work. I used my sister's Visa debit bank card for all my online and HL purchases and it went through without a problem.

The Visa emblem means it is accepted everywhere the "normal" Visa card is.

I was plannin' on trying my debit card first. It's visa so I'm not worried.

any body know if the same will apply in the UK/EU? all i have is a solo debit card and knowing my luck...

edit: btw, how much is the HL for the jpn version? in dollars?

I thought in Ver.2 you can't use a debit card even if it has a Visa logo. Does that mean you can use a Visa Buxx card?

I used a debit card with ver2. I am pretty sure you can use Visa Buxx.

I would say as long as its one of the major ones it will work.
